Hump Day Poll: Newsworthy?
source If that brings you warm fuzzies, you're welcome. If you don't know what the heck that's referring to, then you might be too young to understand most of my references here and should probably brush up ! We are going on year 9 of not having watched the news. I remember the last time we went to Kauai in 2016 (holy crap, that makes me want to cry) we didn't watch the news once and couldn't believe how much happier we were. We decided to see how long we could push it and here we are almost a decade later. It's enough to be inundated on internet sites on the hourly with the latest dumpster fire lit that should have nothing to do with the kind of stuff it's reporting but to voluntarily watch the news just is not something I have in me. I rarely watch live tv because of the commercials (well more commercials) but I left it on once a few years ago when a show I was watching went live and the news came on right after. I wasn't watchin...
I am glad to report that, despite a rather sleepless night, my headache is gone! Thanks for your help!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry you had a sleepless night but I'm glad the headache is gone.
DeleteWhen I get bad headaches the only thing that helps is sleep, which isn't great when it hurts too bad to sleep. I just lay perfectly still in a dark room and hope for the best. I used to get migraines that would have me sick to my stomach, but luckily I haven't had a full blown migraine for years.
ReplyDeleteThose are the worst, especially when you're in the dark and quiet and it's STILL too loud. Ugh.
DeleteI'm so glad to hear the headache is gone! Hopefully more sleep tonight and the Mr will be feeling back to normal.
ReplyDeleteI can't lie....that goofy movie makes me laugh every time!!
I'm encouraging him to take a half day but I'm a bad influence.
DeleteMakes me laugh too. So raunchy and stupid but perfect when you need something mindless to make you laugh.
Oy, do I know headaches. When it gets to that bad of a stage, nothing helps but riding it out. If I am able to catch it in time, what seems to help is an ice-cold rag on the top of my head, but a heating pad around my neck to keep me from tensing too much. Crazy, I know, but it has occasionally helped. I'm to the point now that if I'm dehydrated and the head is just pounding, it'll cause me to vomit. And that is so much worse because then it's all the pressure from that on top of the migraine! My sympathies go out to him because it's an awful feeling to have a sledgehammer throbbing throughout your head. Hope he's feeling much better today.
