3/6/12- Food Journal

Update on last night's movie,  Retreat.  Oh my Lord!  It's rare that a movie has us guessing until the end and then the ending makes our mouthes drop.  Good movie.

Today was full of yumminess.  Let's get to it...

Breakfast was a bowl of oatmeal with skim milk, a cut up banana, 1 tbsp of Better N' Peanut Butter and 1 tbsp of Nutella with 1 serving of Fiber 80 sprinkled on top.  It was really good and was kind of like "hey you got faux peanut butter in my nutella" and "hey, you got nutella in my faux peanut butter!"  If you get the reference, 10 bonus points.

For lunch I had a turkey, lite swiss, pea shoot sandwich with a tbsp of Miracle Whip light.  I thought I was going to explode with joy.  I have missed sandwiches soooo much.  Yum.  Then the usual cast of characters.  Fruit salad with cantaloupe, honeydew, watermelon, pineapple and a clementine.  The bowl could barely hold it.  Raw veggies with 1/2 tbsp dip, apple with apple dip, TJ's apple cereal bar and iced tea.

Dinner was light loco moco.  Look it up, I want to see how many people try to tell me I can't eat it on my plan when I assure I can, do and did.  :-)

Night snack was hot chocolate and 2 fresh baked molasses cookies.  I know this is not the ideal way to add calories but I saw them at Trader Joe's and they're break and bake style.  I was seriously going to order the best frosted molasses cookies I've ever had from Bent Fork Bakery in IL but settled for this.  It was worth every calorie.  I'll put the dough in the freezer, I promise.  :-)

Calories for the day, 2362 and calories burned, 925 doing Amy Dixon's Breathless Body.  (That sounded REALLY dirty)

Anything interesting to wrap up the day?  Eat something good?  Leave it in the comments!

  3. Ok, so can you please post the recipe for the loco moco, I tried to find it via google and had no luck. What the heck is it anyways.

Don't think me dumb but I read your email everyday and often want to comment but thought it was a huge hassle to open your blog, and sign in and all that...well DUH! All I had to do was click on the title or I think a couple other places brought me right here and now I am doing, "I will be back." Said in a very Arnold sort of way. LOL!

  8. LOL @ Amy Dixon's Breathless body! HA! I've never heard of pea shoots before--do you buy them or do you grow them? I know lots of people who grow sprouts on their countertop and I always mean to try it myself.

Molasses cookies and hot chocolate sounds like a good way to end the day. :) I was weak all night this week and had an ice cream sandwich. My husband buys these things and then I can't resist! But I've been working out, so maybe it will balance out? Maybe?
