Warm Weather Hygge
By definition, hygge (hooga) according to the Denmark website is about "taking time away from the daily rush to be together with people you care about - or even by yourself - to relax and enjoy life's quieter pleasures." There's a fun little book I read on vacation back in 2018 called The Little Book of Hygge: Danish Secrets to Happy Living and I loved it so much, I bought one as soon as I got back. There was actually nothing more relaxing than reading that little book curled up on the couch in the sunroom with a cup of tea and is one of my favorite memories of that trip. Many tend to associate this practice in the cooler months of Fall and Winter because it tends to focus on the act of being cozy. Snuggling under a blanket, enjoying a warm, healing cup of tea by the fireplace (or fireplace on TV ), lighting a favorite candle while doing a calming hobby like cross stitch or scrapbooking. Being a hyggephant, I can tell you that I never associated warm wea...
Sorry things aren't going as planned. *HUGS*
ReplyDeleteYou may lose your bet, but I'm pretty sure you'll manage to salvage the day somehow.
ReplyDeleteSorry you're in a bad mood. I hope it turns out to be a good anyway!
ReplyDeleteI have the same attitude unfortunately. It doesn't feel like a "real" loss until it's a "new" loss! Although you have to admit, the amount of work it takes is the same, which has to count for something!
ReplyDeleteI feel exactly the same way you do. I don't count it as a loss unless it's under my previous low weight.
ReplyDeleteI hope your day turned out okay.
Hugs. it's Sunday. Hope you can salvage the day!
ReplyDeleteSo make this the worst thing that's going to happen today. I know you're going to find all kinds of good things to cancel out this one not-so-good thing.
ReplyDeleteHappy Sunday!
But down is better than up surely..! But I know how you feel, you CAN DO IT!
ReplyDeleteOMGosh you kill me! I have been stuck playing with the same danged 4 pounds for the longest time. At least you are losing. I would kill to be down one pound each week. You allow yourself so much that I do not allow myself, so an up for me is just futility. I don't have high cal days or a "week off." I just suck lately; stuck at a plateau. Be happy with what you have and don't focus on what you haven't achieved.
ReplyDeleteIts OK to feel down. Maybe you can make something delicious for us, I mean YOU! Lol....keep on keeping on mama....
ReplyDeleteYeah, I'm kind of a glass half empty girl myself, so I understand how you feel. But I can still tell you that you are awesome for losing a pound. You don't have to believe it, but I get to say it!
