Non Scale Victories This Week
During last night's LIIFT 4 Shoulders workout, I saw an improvement over last weeks shoulder presses. I was unable to do the 2nd and 3rd sets last week overhead after about 3-4 presses. My left shoulder would literally fall like I'd lost all muscle control with 10 lb weights. Yesterday I used the same 10 lbs and it wasn't until the 7th rep on the second set that I started to feel bad fatigue but pushed through. On the third set my shoulders were shot but I was still able to push overhead even if slower. I pushed to fatigue but didn't have that dangerous muscle drop I had before. The zinnias I grew from seed are mostly in full bloom and I took some pics before cutting some to put in a little vase. It was the 80s - sequins were in. I'm sure he thought the effort you put into the outfit was fantastic even if the red socks/pink jellies were a questionable choice. lol. I was never a sequins girl - but I made my own share of awful fashion choices (pink velour sweatshirt that I wore everywhere all the time. *shudders*). So glad there was no social media back in the day.
ReplyDelete80's here too. I put sun-in in my hair and it was bright blonde and then I wore Jams shorts with a bright blue shirt and white sport coat and went to dinner with my parents at a fancy restaurant dressed like that. Nobody even batted an eye but when I see myself in pics from that day I cringe every time.
ReplyDeleteI had these crazy idea that wearing an off-the-shoulder sweatshirt with a jean mini skirt with floral long underwear underneath and turquoise Converse high top sneakers would be a good look. And I wore it often! Along with purple hair. It was a scene, man.
