Hump Day Poll: What Takes YOU Back?
In a world that is spiraling down the toilet ever changing, and sometimes not for the better, there are small things we can do to create little pockets of nostalgia from a simpler time. It's harder and harder to find things from your childhood and if you do, often they aren't the same. (I still lament the death of the taste of Chef Boy Ardee boxed pizza mix. Sigh) But for me, there are a few scents that I can rely on that are still out there. When we were dating, one of my favorite scents was that spray musk and I was tickled to still be able to find it! One spritz of it and I'm ready for a night on the town with the teenaged Mr in his Iroc. I was also happy to find Night Magic from Avon is still available and gives me that same feeling. My friend got it for me last year and with as much as I use it (rarely to never), I'll have it until I'm dust. (I did find the solid perfume compact in a bin and still have it if I want to be truly...
Of course I absolutely love it and I WILL indeed be finishing that bad boy off with my lunch salads. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteHave you tried the Bolthouse Farms ones?
ReplyDeleteThey're in the produce section in the fridge case.
They have a ranch one, it might be higher sodium than you want but I need a higher sodium intake due to my running and losing vision upon standing lol

Ranch. In my world there is ranch and not ranch. I usually make my own with the powder packet and light/fat free mayo and skim milk.
ReplyDeleteI do what Another Layer (above) does except I use buttermilk with my lite mayo. I figure the ranch dressing/dip at about 42.5 calorie/tablespoon. Buttermilk is surprisingly low in calories (120 for a whole cup). I hate to brag, but this is what I ate a lot of as I lost 178 lbs. and and still use today, I'll soon starting my 7th year of maintenance (with some ups and downs here and there).
ReplyDeleteGah! I cannot stand the taste of balsamic vinegar! I love red wine vinegar, apple cider, and even white, but balsamic is just gross to me. I've tried and tried and can't do it. I think it's great this one doesn't have sugar though, so that's a good thing. I've been digging on Marzetti's Simply Dressed Light Ranch: http://www.marzetti.com/salad-dressings/simply-dressed/light-ranch
ReplyDeleteAnd their Light Caesar dressing is the only Caesar dressing I like.
