Getting Around to It Weekend Recap
Yawn...hello there! source Monday has knocked at our doors far too early, hasn't it? To direct quote the Mr yesterday after all was said and done "weekend's suck!" Now let's see why! It was a weird weekend. I chatted with a close friend going through a rough time. You know when you have to moderate between saying what you really feel and saying just enough to kind of get your point across? Well, I said what I felt because when someone gives you the opportunity to acknowledge something that's always bothered you without you bringing it up, you take it. It wasn't a happy conversation but a helpful one to her. She has a lot of decisions to make and I'm more than happy to be there for her however she needs me. It just sucks because it's happening over her birthday so I wanted it to finally be a happy birthday and I hope she's able to make it one despite the other stuff swirling. It led the Mr and I into a good long conversati...
It was a great day. I didn't mind the cold and loved the snow. It was good to see some others walking out in it too. There are others like us out there!
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy that you got some snow and had the chance to enjoy it! We got about 3 inches last Thursday/Friday and I can't lie, it made me smile :). Have a great week!

ReplyDeleteWe don't get a lot of snow here most years, so even a few flakes makes me smile.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you got to enjoy your tree with the proper background, and that you got to spend some times outside enjoying the snow.
I had a mammogram on Saturday. The was the excitement for my weekend. woohoo.
We got the snow as well but the temps took a dive and it's -5 below right now. The next few days are supposed to be bitterly cold then warm up a bit. The dogs' tootsies are not happy. LOL It was a light, fluffy snow though so easy to shovel and pretty to look at.
ReplyDeleteI had a meeting on Saturday, then met a friend for a lovely lunch. Took care of some bills and stuff for my mom on Sunday. Basically did some house stuff for the most part. I, too, need to make a grocery store run at some point. Right now though it's cold outside and I want to stay snuggled up with the pups! LOL
I don't blame you one bit for leaving the tree and decorations up. I grew up in North Idaho and always had a white Christmas. I live a few miles north of Seattle and rarely have snow at Christmas. We did have an inch a week or so ago (for a day or two). I always love to see the white stuff fall from the sky, see the air that I breathe and the chill I feel on the outside is nothing compared to the warmth I feel inside.
