Low Key Easter Weekend Recap
Y'all it almost happened. It seemed like it was almost a perfect carpet install. Then the dude grabbed a broom and swept all of the carpet on top, swept the floor, then swept the stairs going downstairs. Thanks for taking our clean carpet and giving it a fresh layer of unknown dust and dirt all over it. Then we looked when they left and saw a gap by the baseboard on the landing we weren't happy with and I know they had to have seen it so I fear shoe molding is in our future which we hate. The final "of course?" We had a TON left. Like enough to recarpet another set of stairs easily. Uh, why are you sending someone out to measure to give us a quote and we have enough left over to carpet another set of stairs and have enough of another piece for a big strip in front of the washer and dryer. This goes well beyond the "10% waste" they have you get. (It stretches 2/3 the length of our basement) So begins the process of trying...
It was a great day hanging out with you, as always, and I had a good time hanging out with the family and eating that yummy Menchies!
ReplyDeleteIt was a wonderful day! Just what we needed and I think people actually liked going to the fro yo place. Next year, dinner where *I* want no matter what side of town! Pffft!
DeleteYesterday is a day I'd just as soon not have pictorial evidence of. The morning was fine, but the afternoon just kept getting worse. Nothing major happened, but a string of annoyances left me all green and hulky by bedtime. Hopefully today will be better.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you had fun at the zoo.
Ugh, let's hope today is picture worthy! :) (And not in a hulky way!)
Deleteyum and awwww....maddie.
ReplyDeletemy day wud have been....me turning greener and redder day by day with the family vacation plans for next month with the in laws...lol...
Isn't she cute?
DeleteOh man, the words "vacation" and "in-laws" do not mix! LOL
Taking care of 3 dogs, biking to work, day at the office, volunteering at animal shelter, biking home in the dark (since it gets dark earlier-boo hoo), welcome home barks from dogs and hubby (ok, he didn't bark), watching the red sox on the couch while eating a sugarfee fudgicle!
ReplyDeleteLong day... but good!
Oh you know the hubby barked! ;)
DeleteSounds like a fun, busy day!
That dog is SO stinkin' cute! I'd cuddle him all day = ) Looks like you had a great day!
ReplyDeleteIsn't she? Her fur was ridiculously soft and she liked to give lots of kisses! :D
DeleteOoooh, what are the chipotle bites? They look good! (as do the pork chops and frozen yogurt. :P)
ReplyDeleteThe chipotle bites are from Trader Joe's. Very yummy and when I tried to recreate them myself, I found that it was only like $.20 more to buy them pre-assembled there so I let them have all the fun and we eat them. HA!
DeleteI need the recipe for your pork chop! It looks awesome!!!
ReplyDeleteIt's super easy! For 2 pork chops I use 3 tbsp brown sugar hickory BBQ sauce and 1 tbsp of chunky apple jelly. After you've grilled up your seasoned chops, brush on the sauce and enjoy! :)
DeleteSorry I missed your birthday. My computer got fried in a power outage and then we had issues restoring it, had to change the operating system, yadda yadda yadda. I wish you the very, very best. I never know if you reply to my posts, never get notices of replies, anyhow. If you ever want to get hold of me, be sure to use my primary email, not my gmail. Sending love to you and your Mr.
ReplyDeleteBoo on fried computers! Thanks so much for the birthday wishes. You're the best girl!
DeleteAww, puppy! And froyo too. Looks like a good day to me. :)
