Non Scale Victories This Week
During last night's LIIFT 4 Shoulders workout, I saw an improvement over last weeks shoulder presses. I was unable to do the 2nd and 3rd sets last week overhead after about 3-4 presses. My left shoulder would literally fall like I'd lost all muscle control with 10 lb weights. Yesterday I used the same 10 lbs and it wasn't until the 7th rep on the second set that I started to feel bad fatigue but pushed through. On the third set my shoulders were shot but I was still able to push overhead even if slower. I pushed to fatigue but didn't have that dangerous muscle drop I had before. The zinnias I grew from seed are mostly in full bloom and I took some pics before cutting some to put in a little vase. Thanks for the links. Looks like some good ones there that will give me something to do when the boredom sets in at work :-)
ReplyDeleteWith the way you've been typing away today, I don't think you're gonna have time to read these!
Deletethanks for the links:) I am looking at them and then starting work...ehehhe happy weekend..
ReplyDeleteI plan to watch pacific rim this weekend and get groceries, laundry and have extra work too..arghhh
You'll have to let me know how you like Pacific Rim. Boo for work!
DeleteHmm, the link to "11 Nutrition Myths" is a cute puppy pic. Or was that the point, a cute puppy to lighten the mood? (wait, it's the same link as "walk me"--still cute).
ReplyDeleteToo funny that you're reading about Kefir. I just started eating it a few weeks ago and LOVE it. It's the best of both worlds. Runny yogurt you can drink (but I eat mine with a spoon).
I must've been puppy obsessed whilst pasting links! Fixed!
DeleteUgh, I can't even smell yogurt or I almost yak. I'm thinking kefir won't be making an appearance in my diet.
plans for the weekend: Girls night-in on saturday. I love these nights!
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Have fun!
DeleteI'll make this as quick and concise as possible. Ahem.... The hubs need to have SIX chicklets yanked (4 wisdom plus 2 more) next Friday. We have to pay $1060 up front for our portion (that doesn't include whatever dental insurance doesn't cover). His brake line blew on his car so that is at the shop (that car is on its last legs, but that thousand bucks towards a down payment is going towards his mouth now). Work is an absolute nightmare and my tookus will be there at 6am tomorrow morning until 10:30, when we need to take Elsie to the vet for her shots. Then mom comes over for my birthday (which really sucked thanks to the hubs being in a bad mood that night). Sooo, what I'm really trying to say is.... is there room on your lanai for a camper?? I can pitch a pup-tent and eat condiments and won't make a peep. I'd be like a big scary scarecrow for your rude neighbor. I'm just putting the offer out there.... =o) ENJOY YOUR WEEKEND!!!! Good weather, good walks--can't wait to read all about it on Monday! xoxox
ReplyDeleteGetting set for some Blues, Brews and BBQ in a little mountain gambling town about an hour from our home. We'll be home by dark, hopefully all partied out for the week.
ReplyDeleteInteresting reading as always, and what an adorable pup.
ReplyDeleteLittle guy and I are heading to my folks in a few hours, and I always enjoy my time there. The longer I live in a small town the more I feel like a Beverly Hillbilly when I go visit them.
Enjoy your weekend!
