What I'm Reading This Week #21
Happy Friday all! I am beyond thrilled to not having to babysit seedlings indoors anymore. I know I need to babysit them outside now but I am going to have to do some serious research on how to stop algae and white mold because I feel like I tried all of the tricks and nothing helped. I can't wait for them to actually bloom. Well, my cantaloupe have flowers on them. I guess I'll have to get some knee high panty hose to hang them from on the trellis. I'll be keeping my eye on those bucket crops because I know it won't be long before critters try to come after them and when they do, I have insect nets waiting for them. HISS! So we'll see how phase two goes. Now let's phase into: 5 Best Compound Exercises to Strengthen Your Whole Body (Get twice as much done in half the time!) 10 Anti-Inflammatory Foods You Should Be Eating, According to Registered Dietitians (I wish I liked avocados, maybe if I made a sassy guac/salsa combo w...
I had a great time at the festival and yes we did eat some junk food but we balanced it with some serious walking, so I feel good about that. It all just went by fast the way the weekends tend to do of course cause I'm wondering how it's Monday already again. Have a great week everybody!
ReplyDeleteI'm sad the weekend is over as well. I got a ton of yardwork done, donated blood, took my little in the lake paddleboating and out for awesome pizza with my neighbor. Have an amazing week!
ReplyDeleteI had a mini vacation, as I took off Thursday and Friday, but I was not ready to return to work this week. It has been crazy humid here, so it was nice not having to work or do much of anything on a set schedule. We took in a concert Friday night at a local fair and also took in some rides. Then on Saturday and Sunday I finally had a chance to make use of the kayak that we bought from Costco last winter. We paddle on the ocean, so the weather, tide and wind are always a consideration. My partner's son and I managed to get in two good long paddles at my father-in-law's cabin where we spent the remainder of the weekend.
ReplyDeleteYay for elephant ears!! Does da bestest!
ReplyDeleteWeekend was pretty good. I had a great meeting on Saturday morning and then had lunch with a friend and that was a lot of fun. Got home mid-afternoon and the hubs had just done all the vacuuming and had walked the pooches, which was wonderful. Sunday was grocery shopping and buying a new mower which went very smoothly compared to the fiasco a couple weeks ago. Then it was laundry, lots of paperwork and computer stuff. It's another nice weather day today so I've spent some time outdoors and enjoyed the fresh air.
Have a super duper week!
