What I'm Reading This Week #20
Howdy do punkin' poos? I hope you had a delightful week of blissful productivity at work (aka hanging on by the frays of your well bitten fingernails whilst saying you need to win the lottery but never actually playing.) A birthday shout out to my grandma. You know, even though she would've been 86, and I know the probability is she would be gone now, it still doesn't stop me wondering how long she would've made it if dementia hadn't reared up. I could really use one of her hugs or her hands cupping my face with that ornery little grin saying I was her first grandbaby. Happy birthday grandma. I hope you and mom have a big euchre game going on tonight. We've been slowly integrating back into walking this week as the Mr could handle. Last night he was able to do two laps without having to stop to stretch so that is good news. I hope you're not coming down with something, but if you are, let's hope you can get past it quickly. Thanks for a great day yesterday. It was just what I needed :-)
ReplyDeleteToo late. At this point, I just hope you don't get it and I don't still have it come the holidays given my holidays were ruined by a similar beast last year. You're welcome. It was nice and good to be out in the fresh air.
DeleteI hope its a quick dose then gone... my current cold has lasted three weeks, coughing sneezing, giddiness when standing, and just now going.. so I hope you will feel better soon.;.. those photos are lovely, you lucky things having such beauty near you** all the best Janzi
ReplyDeleteThanks for the hope! LOL
DeleteAt this point, as long as I don't go into the "months" category, I'll be good.
Your fall colors are gorgeous! Ours are dingy. I'm so jealous.
ReplyDeleteWhat gorgeous colors you guys have right now! Such a beautiful time of year, with a bit of melancholy thrown in, especially on those overcast fall days --love 'em. I've taken the dogs out for a drive in the country where there are old barns set in fields that are so pretty. They just harvested most of the corn and soybeans here so the fields are flat again in a golden carpet. The colors aren't quite as vivid as I hoped, but that could be from lack of rain. Still so beautiful though.
