What I'm Reading This Week #37

Good mid(ish)- September Friday to you.  I hope your week felt short and your flop sweat was minimal.  We never seem to be rewarded with two cool weeks in a row so it was back to poopie temps and we'll be tipping 90 this weekend which I am none too pleased about.  Once you throw me two 70's days in a row, it's time to retire the summer temps.  Dems da rules. I got a few things done this week like steaming the curtains which made them drop about 1/2" but thankfully not drag the floor.  I finally got the dead flat I ordered from some chick on Etsy after she sent me the wrong thing initially and it took two weeks to get the right thing.  I don't know about you but if I sent someone the wrong thing initially and made them have to drive to the post office to return my mistake, I'd be refunding some money or expediting their shipping on the right box.  So I've got my two coats on the newel post after doing a little touch up on a spot I didn't see originally....

Jailbreak complete and what I'm reading this week

Sorry I've been a little less chatty this week on responses.  I took my declaration of a jail break seriously last Friday and got the hell outta Dodge to keep some spark of sanity.  The neighbors saw fit to let their a-hole demon dogs out every 20 minutes to bark for 10 minutes at a time and then the other neighbors dog would bark for 6 hours at the first time the other dogs barked.  These mongrels are turning me into a dog hater.  No actually a bad owner hater.  I want to well...do not nice things.  Between that and another visit from the Christmas vandal who this time was messing with the snow on our lawn, I'm ready to pick up and move.

    Went to a meeting this morning and found out one of our members died this week--such a sad story. The hubs was let go from his job this week and got a small severance, but we will eventually lose our house (he won't make nearly the same money as he did, especially with the economy here), so some stress there. I managed to get all the laundry done today and a trip to Salvation Army to give donations (5 bags and a box out of the house!). So tomorrow hopefully will be a trip to the movies to see The Wedding Ringer. I could use some humor in my life right now! LOL!
