Non Scale Victories This Week
During last night's LIIFT 4 Shoulders workout, I saw an improvement over last weeks shoulder presses. I was unable to do the 2nd and 3rd sets last week overhead after about 3-4 presses. My left shoulder would literally fall like I'd lost all muscle control with 10 lb weights. Yesterday I used the same 10 lbs and it wasn't until the 7th rep on the second set that I started to feel bad fatigue but pushed through. On the third set my shoulders were shot but I was still able to push overhead even if slower. I pushed to fatigue but didn't have that dangerous muscle drop I had before. The zinnias I grew from seed are mostly in full bloom and I took some pics before cutting some to put in a little vase. I drink 128 oz each day. I am pretty used to it now, to the point where if I don't get as much in then I get really thirsty. You have been doing very good with it and I'm proud of you!
ReplyDeleteI drink at least 160oz of water (5 1L water bottles) but it's usually more. About 16 oz of coffee plus 12zo for my protein shake (mixed with almond milk) and occasionally I'll drink diet cran - like last night I had 24oz of that.
ReplyDeleteI'm a tad absurd lol
I get about 96 oz of straight water (rough estimate) and I drink (average) 8 oz of milk every day.
ReplyDeleteBut it depends on the day. Now that it's getting warmer, I'll be drinking more water and probably more Powerade (I use it as a reward during exercise, "Keep pushing and then you can have a sip of Powerade!").
Bare minimum of 64 oz (2 - 32oz water bottles) but I try for 3 bottles and in the hotter months 4 isn't unusual. I do have to make sure that I'm basically done by suppertime or I'm in the wee hours too.
ReplyDeleteI drink 2-3liters:)
ReplyDeleteWhen the weather's cold, I barley get in 64. But when it warms up, I can drink upwards of a gallon a day.
ReplyDeleteKeep us posted on how the water drinking goes! I know I sure don't drink enough of it. . . I was doing really well for about a month and EVERYTHING felt better (my skin even cleared up and evened out!), but then life happened. Oh well. Time to get back on the water wagon.
ReplyDeleteThe more you do it, the easier it seems to get so the trips to the bathroom are less frequent. Hoping that it helps--it certainly should not hurt!
ReplyDeleteI've never been much of a drinker either-- of any liquids--it is the one behavior regarding consumption that was moderate for me. I didn't even attempt to drink the recommended amounts of water while I was losing weight and still don't. Good luck with the new plan. I'm guessing your results are going to be great!
ReplyDeleteGood for you! I try to drink a lot of water throughout the day too. I drink it room temperature because that makes it easier to go down, although my husband thinks I'm weird for liking lukewarm water. :P
ReplyDeleteOther than making you full, what effect does water have on weight loss?

DeleteI average between 100-150 ounces most days of the week. I'm not as good on the weekends though. I don't drink coffee or tea so it's water most of the day, along with a Crystal Light packet every couple of weeks--they sit right on my desk, but I never remember! LOL!
