She attended a wedding with some of my old co-workers and I guess one of them said he'd heard I lost a lot of weight so it's getting around. I didn't get to attend the get together of my old co-workers when they gathered a month or two ago so hopefully they'll have another one when I've made more progress. But back to our time with our friend.
We had lunch at a restaurant we'd been to a few times. This meal was a little disappointing taste wise but I was so busy flapping my gums I didn't let it ruin our time together. Afterward we did a little shopping and ended up at the Life is Good store. We didn't even make it inside before loading up on three shirts, one of which was this one for me...
I'm wearing it right now. It reminds me of our pup and how much she loved to curl up in the front of the fireplace and sleep. I got a Christmas shirt the last time we were there too. They need to stop making cute Christmas shirts or I'm in trouble. I also assumed I wore an XL but apparently I'm between sizes and the large I bought as a goal shirt fit...
I could live in these shirts. They're so comfy, positive and just make you feel good. They feel better when they're on sale.
We got home a little late but still went down and did the scheduled circuit. I burned 915 calories which isn't too bad! We had dinner and a snack and settled in for the night. I was a pooped pup but am ready to get some stuff done today.
What did you do this weekend?

It was such a good weekend and a great time meeting up with old friends. And it certainly doesn't hurt getting a big ego boost out of it. It really was the perfect cap to this month where we really took a stand and made it happen again and this is living proof that we know exactly how to get back into losing weight regularly again and that is exciting! Life is good!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely. Of course I'm bloated like a puffer fish this morning and nothing pisses me off more than when you have a high cal restaurant meal and it's not worth it. Especially if we're only going to get one a month then we're going to have to go places we can count on because I'm not wasting those! At least we know what works now so onward when we get back.
DeleteSounds like a nice visit with your friend. Hurray for ego boosts!
ReplyDeleteIt sure was and yes, sometimes we need those ego boosts to carry us when a plateau has taken over our lives! LOL
DeleteI'm glad you guys had a good visit with your friend.
ReplyDeleteOur weekend wasn't nearly as nice as yours sounds. Little boy had soccer Saturday and we did get some stuff done around the house. Unfortunately just as we were getting ready to leave for the game Saturday morning OPDC (other peoples drama and crap) landed in our front yard. Hopefully it will be resolved today, but it's been an unwelcome guest all weekend.
Tell people to keep their drama for their mamas and move on. We all have our own drama and don't need to deal with anyone else's! Hope it's all resolved asap!
DeleteWow was this a "meet ur old friend" weekend...lol..
ReplyDeleteWe drove to Cleveland to meet my friend from grad school whom I havent seen in 6 years and she just had a baby boy,,it was fun to meet up and talk about the "good old days"...
those t-shirts look good..I have a pink t-shirt from that store:) heehhe...
Glad you had fun catching up with your friend too!
DeleteI love that store. Their shirts are so cozy and soft!
My kids' band had a "gig" weekend and they rocked it! It's a good thing I wasn't hungry and already had dinner planned or I would have tackled the guy carrying the try of nachos & onion rings... they smelled so good!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait for that moment this Christmas when I show up in Dallas to see family I haven't seen since last April. With lots of hard work and a little luck I will be 72 pounds lighter - which should be a huge difference physically and mentally for me! Thanks for the inspiration!
Sounds like you had a great weekend! Good on ya for not tackling the nacho onion ring man! ;-)
DeleteI'm sure you will get that awesome moment this Christmas. Keep it up!
Sometimes you don't realize how far you've come until you see your progress through someone else's eyes! I'm glad you had a good weekend. Mine was spent cooking and gardening--good times. I totally need to go clothes shopping too one of these days...
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely! Several people commented about how we looked that day so it was kinda nice! :-)
DeleteGlad you had a nice weekend and yes, go shopping! I give you permission! HA!
Sounds like you had a most wonderful weekend! I'm so glad you got to see your friend in person and could spend good, quality time together. And the shirts are darn cute!!
