What I'm Reading This Week #21
Happy Friday all! I am beyond thrilled to not having to babysit seedlings indoors anymore. I know I need to babysit them outside now but I am going to have to do some serious research on how to stop algae and white mold because I feel like I tried all of the tricks and nothing helped. I can't wait for them to actually bloom. Well, my cantaloupe have flowers on them. I guess I'll have to get some knee high panty hose to hang them from on the trellis. I'll be keeping my eye on those bucket crops because I know it won't be long before critters try to come after them and when they do, I have insect nets waiting for them. HISS! So we'll see how phase two goes. Now let's phase into: 5 Best Compound Exercises to Strengthen Your Whole Body (Get twice as much done in half the time!) 10 Anti-Inflammatory Foods You Should Be Eating, According to Registered Dietitians (I wish I liked avocados, maybe if I made a sassy guac/salsa combo w...
I do enjoy summer days that aren't blast furnace hot. Like to go paddling when we can as long as it's not too hot out.
ReplyDeleteBoy, there's something we need to get back into if the inflatables aren't at their burst point. LOL
DeleteI enjoy sitting on the deck under the tree with a good breeze. Early morning walks at the park are very peaceful, too, before it gets too hot and busy. I also like going to the local minor league baseball games in town, but we haven't been able to do that the past few years. It's still something I enjoy and hope to get back to one day. One of the things that really makes me happy is to sit on my front porch when it's that summer rain and the smell is so tied to summertime.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds heavenly, especially the rain. Don't know the last time we had actual rain here.
DeleteI can only hope for 83! Our forecast for this week is a high of 64 and a low of 44! That's living on an island on the east coast of Canada for you! But we are getting the pool ready, fingers crossed it gets a little warmer soon!
ReplyDeleteI'll trade ya, those are my spirit temps! LOL How are you guys doing with the wildfires? Everyone okay?
DeleteHaha I could use it a little warmer! We're good in Newfoundland so far but we had a dry winter with not much snow so there is concern about wildfires later in the season. Smoke from Quebec is expected to head our way over the weekend though.
