Survival Mode Put Us Back to Zero
A lot of you came here many moons ago when I left Sparkpeople. I loved the community of that place and the support I got there. It was at the height of us being on our game. That motivation you have in the beginning when you're consistently rewarded with weight loss, smaller clothes, compliments to keep your motivation high and you somehow begin to step out of being invisible to the public to people smiling at you, opening doors or striking up conversation. You start to feel human. You don't have to worry about going to restaurants or 'fitting' somewhere. You can go to a wedding and see those God awful thin folding chairs and while you still don't like them, you're not concerned. Many of your worries that fit people never had to think of, have faded away. We started for the long haul in our 30's and that's when we had the most success, losing 226 and 190 lbs respectively. When we went on vacation, as long as we came back and got rig...
Moose knuckle Lmao! Who would notice that, You! Can't wait to see the reveal. Had a great weekend with beach time yardwork and steaks on the Barbie.
ReplyDeleteHave a fantabulous day!
You don't realize how quickly the stores get rid of patio stuff after July 4th until you're trying to get some of that stuff after July 4th. It's like as soon as July 4th is over - boom! Back to school time! Everyone have a great week!
ReplyDeleteI still get tense when I walk into stores during July and see all the summer stuff clearanced and back-to-school stuff already coming out. Made me sick as a kid and makes me sick now for kids!
ReplyDeleteWeekend was good. Got my hair done Saturday morning, took the dogs out for some walks and rides, and worked on laundry. Took plenty of hard naps, so there was a lot of sleeping going on. LOL Did a little online shopping in there too. Just need to get through today with the weather and cooler temps are due staring tomorrow. We had a tick in our bathroom sink, so they are out and about with all the dewy humidity. Ack!!!
I hate seeing the back to school stuff in July. Almost as much as I hate that WalMart replaced their Halloween stuff with Christmas stuff the weekend before Halloween last year. C'mon people, let us enjoy one thing at a time. I can't believe I have less than a month left of summer break. How did that happen? Trying to find patio stuff after July 4th must be challenging, I don't envy you.
ReplyDeleteThis weekend was pretty boring, but I was recovering from vacation. My son, my parents, and I all went to Yellowstone. Long road trip, long days with lots of time in the car and lots of walking. That place is stinkin' huge! It was a really great trip, but I needed a vacation from my vacation when I got back.
