What I'm Reading This Week #22

Howdy do and welcome to the last Friday of May.  😑  Even though it was a short week, it always seems just a tinge longer than the previous week.  I'm getting antsy because I want to see blooms.  When you're growing from seed, it requires a patience I don't naturally have and trying to keep things from getting to everything before it has a chance to.  Then reading about some God awful hornworm that can just come in and decimate your tomato plants overnight.  It makes me wonder at what point do I put up the insect netting over the bucket veggies.  Other than that, not much else going on this week. Let's hop straight into: Does Walking Build Muscle, Burn Fat, or Both ?  (The part about e-scooters is often a discussion as kids on them and e bikes rocket past us in the park or on a sidewalk going 20 mph.  These kids are going to have ZERO muscle.) Food Review: Back to Nature Multigrain Flaxseed Seeded Flatbread Crackers

When I went to grab our favorite crackers we occasionally use for tuna salad, they were out.

Womp womp...

We love the Back to Nature brand and thought we'd give one of the other varieties a try...

Here's a peek at the nutritional info...

You can see the fat it does have are the beneficial ones which is always a plus.

Our usual stone ground seeded crackers are the size of normal crackers but these are longer so it feels like you're getting more.  Each flatbread is like getting 2 1/2 regular sized crackers.

They are nice and sturdy to hold up to my tuna salad for lunch and though they have slightly less sodium than the other crackers (30mg less), it doesn't taste bland.

They would also be perfect for an after workout snack with some apple and cheese slices or peanut butter.  Whatever your preference!

I'd say it's pretty likely we'll be buying these again!  They would make for a nice change in texture and size for cheese plates for entertaining with a healthier twist as well!

Have you tried Back to Nature crackers?  What are your favorite crunchy snacks?

  1. I have those packed for my lunch with my tuna today so I get to try them and I'm looking forward to it now since you like them. They do look really good with the cheese and apples. Yum!

  2. I have some that look like those in my cupboard that I like a lot, but they're a different brand. I like crackers of all kinds and popcorn as crunchy snacks.

  3. I like spicy roasted chickpeas, Marys Gone Cracker's with goat cheese or hummus, and spicy popcorn. I guess I really just like salty and spicy! (Also, I'm a first time reader. Love your posts and realness! I love reading blogs to see what's working for others and feel like we're similar in our approach. I'll be back!)
