Ho Hum Weekend Round Up

Good Monday to you all.  I hope you had a great weekend and are well rested and rarin' to go.  We had a little bit of everything.  Friday we were happy there was a new Project Fear to dive into.  We found out Chelsea had a very scary birth over the weekend as well and she almost didn't make it.  Thankfully her and the baby are still recovering.  Very happy she and the newest little ghost hunter are coming through okay. Saturday we grabbed a regrettable lunch and while we were chatting over it talking about Grandma and the turmoil surrounding the death of her dad and how greed reared its ugly head, we got a very immediate and specific sign from her and started laughing.  I love the way people are able to do that in an unmistakable way.  We drove out to the grave of our pup and my fur sister.  It had been far too long and they were in need of attention.  We did as best we could with the rechargeable trimmers we had on us.  (Even tho...

Old or New School: Book Edition

(source)
We all know that Fall is the season of cozy and there's no better time to cuddle up with a good book...or screen to enjoy the cooler weather when it comes.

When you read a book, are you going old school with a paper copy or new school with a device like a Kindle?

It should be no surprise I prefer old school.  I like the feel of pages turning, the weight of it in my hand, putting in the bookmark or turning down the corner of the page.  How about you?

  1. Kindle all the way for me. I just love being able to have all my books on a device and the e-ink display is great for reading in my opinion. Downside of course is there is no re-selling books after reading them but they are a little cheaper up front for that reason.

  2. I use both. I prefer a paper book, but I like the convenience, portability, and variety that e-books offer. I have the Kindle and Libby apps on my phone so any book I want is just a few clicks away. My library is great, but has limited options.

  3. I love my books, but I've been thinking about trying a kindle!

  4. I love the flexibility of ebooks. I can borrow from my local library without having to leave the house or worry about open hours. I can put my iPad on a stand so my hands are free to crochet when I read. And I can jump between devices which means any time I’m stuck waiting, I can read my current book on my phone.

  5. I LOVE to read and I use the Kindle app solely because I was running out of room for my book collection. I read a book every few days to a week and I really like not having to find space for them :)

  6. I use both. I read daily on my Kindle, but also like a hand-held book. I just bought some older books on Ebay for a dollar a piece so it was cheaper than the Kindle prices, no doubt because of the age. I do like the 10 inch screen on the Kindle though and that's what I use at work.

  7. Audio so I can stay active/busy/productive.
