Survival Mode Put Us Back to Zero
A lot of you came here many moons ago when I left Sparkpeople. I loved the community of that place and the support I got there. It was at the height of us being on our game. That motivation you have in the beginning when you're consistently rewarded with weight loss, smaller clothes, compliments to keep your motivation high and you somehow begin to step out of being invisible to the public to people smiling at you, opening doors or striking up conversation. You start to feel human. You don't have to worry about going to restaurants or 'fitting' somewhere. You can go to a wedding and see those God awful thin folding chairs and while you still don't like them, you're not concerned. Many of your worries that fit people never had to think of, have faded away. We started for the long haul in our 30's and that's when we had the most success, losing 226 and 190 lbs respectively. When we went on vacation, as long as we came back and got rig...
It was a relaxed weekend and ugh, that show does chip away at your soul. If anyone actually lives life like that then I truly feel for them because that is stressful enough just watching it.
ReplyDeleteHere's to a great week!
I haven't watched that show, maybe I'll have to have a look.
ReplyDeleteLast show I binge watched... Maybe Stranger Things? Or maybe season one of Anne With an E (haven't watched season 2 yet). I have a few shows I want to watch, but I know once I get started I won't stop watching so I need to wait until I have a couple days to watch a whole season instead of staying up all night on a school night. I've done that, and it doesn't end well.
Last night I binge watched three episodes of Killing Eve with Sandra Oh. It is definitely something a little different. And before that it was Jessica Jones on Netflix.
ReplyDeleteI haven't binged watched yet, but I'm 3 years (yes, years) behind in my recordings of Scorpion and Blindspot. And now that we lost NBC with the Dish thing, I won't be able to record any Blindspot until they figure it out. I really, really need to get caught up on these two shows!
