My Favorite Products That Make My Life Easier

I'm sure you probably know from today to Friday (11th) is Prime Day.  If you remember my post about how I can keep this place up and running yearly, you know unfortunately Amazon is really the only way I can make that happen since I'm considered a 'mini' blogger.  My sassy thoughts doth not jibe with sponsors, my following is small (which I love actually) so Amazon affiliate links are the only way I can hit that target.   I will say that due to tariff pauses expiring at the end of day today, prices could go way up tomorrow (9th) so I would encourage you to buy today even though Prime Day doesn't end until the 11th.  I know I will be. I'm going to share products I love and if you check 'em out and buy them or anything on Amazon once you click through, it'll help me keep the place jumpin'.    Electric Spin Scrubber I can't begin to tell you the game changer this is especially for someone who isn't a clean freak.  The last thing my mind but mor...

Hump Day Poll: Your favorite summer read

It's Hump Day y'all!

One part of the last two things we're waiting on for the patio arrives today.  The other is getting shipped to a store near us but is like a week away for no good reason.  It will truly be a month-long project from start to finish.  The crappy part is some of the flowers that were in full bloom when I planted them are now like "we out!"  So the patio tour will be next week hopefully.  I must say though that it has been a nice place to sit outside some days before the heat or rain kicks in to sit and read...and there's been a lot of reading lately.

Let's do another Hump Day poll:

What are you reading this summer?  Whether it's a juicy autobiography, fanciful fiction or a self-help book...what are you peeping at this summer?  (Also, do you prefer paper or electronic?)

  1. I prefer my kindle, just because I read so many books a month that the unlimited on amazon makes it more economical for me. A series I got sucked into is The Girl Who Dared to Think. It's a fast moving series and the author doesn't make us relive the last book in the first chapter, they just start right up where the last left off. It's a rare treat for me when that happens, especially when you are binge reading a series.

  2. I'm definitely a paperback kind of girl. This was reinforced when I dropped my tablet in the bathtub once while reading. I was lucky rice dried it out and it survived, but I don't want to take another chance. I'm not a fast reader and I have a stack of books waiting for me at all times. They are usually hand-me-downs from my mother or purchases from charity book sales.

I like a wide variety of books. I just finished the historical fiction "New York" by Edward Rutherford and have just picked up the light fiction of "A Wedding in December" by Anita Shreve (author of the Pilot's Wife, which I also read and enjoyed). And I'm probably the last person on Earth who hasn't read it, but next up is "The Girl on the Train"

  3. We are now pretty much all audio. Books, podcasts. Car, walking, around house. We have huge library at Audible and really use it.

  4. I have a Kindle but I prefer a book! I just finished a book I absolutely loved called Young Jane Young by Gabrielle Zevin.

  5. I am definitely a paperback book kind of gal. I have started reading books on my Kindle from three favorite authors of mine whose series I zip through quickly (Laura Kaye, Kaylea Cross, and Pamela Clare). Two older books that I really like are both from Jan Silvious...Please Don't Say You Need Me and Foolproofing Your Life (probably one of the best books I've ever read).

My main interests are military romance and old west romances, both of which I learn so much about a different way of life. Linda Lael Miller is phenomenal for writing books from back in the old west...and she's funny too, which is a must for me.
