Warm Weather Hygge

By definition, hygge (hooga) according to the Denmark website is about "taking time away from the daily rush to be together with people you care about - or even by yourself - to relax and enjoy life's quieter pleasures."   There's a fun little book I read on vacation back in 2018 called The Little Book of Hygge: Danish Secrets to Happy Living and I loved it so much, I bought one as soon as I got back.  There was actually nothing more relaxing than reading that little book curled up on the couch in the sunroom with a cup of tea and is one of my favorite memories of that trip. Many tend to associate this practice in the cooler months of Fall and Winter because it tends to focus on the act of being cozy.  Snuggling under a blanket, enjoying a warm, healing cup of tea by the fireplace (or fireplace on TV ), lighting a favorite candle while doing a calming hobby like cross stitch or scrapbooking.  Being a hyggephant, I can tell you that I never associated warm wea...

What I'm Reading This Week #29

Good Friday mornin' all!

I had my massage yesterday.  Holy ball sack!  She didn't even do deep tissue apparently.  I have never been so sore in my life!  I've got two more sessions with her and she said between that and the chiro, it should be good to go within 2 weeks.  I'll hold my applause until after next week.  I am officially scared though I do like her so I guess there's that.

But enough of my sore spots, let's get to...

  2. I'm worry you're so sore. =o( You're doing everything you can to help yourself to get back up to snuff in as short a time as possible. Now, to drink that more palatable water... =o)

Oh wow, the New Hampshire slideshow was AMAZING!! I could stare at pictures like that all day long. If I had the right type of room, I'd decorate all the walls in prints like that. Sigh... Absolutely loved them.

I'm staying indoors as much as possible this weekend. I have to lead a meeting tomorrow morning and we will cut the grass Sunday morning, but that's about it. I'm really hoping to work in the office and get rid of more and more crap. I'd feel loads better if this room was cleaner. With the mood I'm in about "stuff" it's a good thing I don't have a handy dumpster because I'd pitch it all and start from scratch.

    Stay cool hot stuff! xoxo
