Warm Weather Hygge
By definition, hygge (hooga) according to the Denmark website is about "taking time away from the daily rush to be together with people you care about - or even by yourself - to relax and enjoy life's quieter pleasures." There's a fun little book I read on vacation back in 2018 called The Little Book of Hygge: Danish Secrets to Happy Living and I loved it so much, I bought one as soon as I got back. There was actually nothing more relaxing than reading that little book curled up on the couch in the sunroom with a cup of tea and is one of my favorite memories of that trip. Many tend to associate this practice in the cooler months of Fall and Winter because it tends to focus on the act of being cozy. DeleteI got the backing for my my son's t-shirt quilt done. How's THAT for random???
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome! I desperately want a t-shirt quilt out of our old shirts from this one store so I swoon a little when someone can do that kind of thing.
DeleteWe went to a downtown Blues bar and heard a blues pianist and her sidekick harmonica player.
ReplyDeleteHow fun!
DeleteI had creme brulee for the first time
ReplyDeleteDid you like it?
DeleteRandom - it was my birthday. i tried to get a passport and didn't have the right papers. That's two.
ReplyDeleteHappy Belated Birthday! Sorry the passport didn't work out on the first try. I hope it means you get to go somewhere awesome...you deserve it.
DeleteWe had nearly 12 inches of snow yesterday, another six so far today, with more on the way tonight and tomorrow. Oh and we have a blizzard warning, for the third day in a row. Ready to pull my hair out, or book a flight somewhere, anywhere.
ReplyDeleteOh man! Stay warm and take comfort, spring isn't TOO far away, hopefully warmer weather finds you sooner than later!
DeleteI painted my nails this adorable shade of robin's egg blue. Hoping it would convince the 71 degree to stay longer. It didn't. It is 46 today. lol
ReplyDeleteOoh that sounds pretty! Yeah, our weather didn't last either.
DeleteI had my sandwich in my lunch bag and forgot to put it in the fridge when I got to work at 6am. I realized it when I started to sniff the air about seven hours later and it was a wee bit on the unpleasant side. Needless to say all I hate for lunch was grapes.
ReplyDeleteRut roh! Stinky sammie = no bueno.
