What I'm Reading This Week #20
Howdy do punkin' poos? I hope you had a delightful week of blissful productivity at work (aka hanging on by the frays of your well bitten fingernails whilst saying you need to win the lottery but never actually playing.) A birthday shout out to my grandma. You know, even though she would've been 86, and I know the probability is she would be gone now, it still doesn't stop me wondering how long she would've made it if dementia hadn't reared up. I could really use one of her hugs or her hands cupping my face with that ornery little grin saying I was her first grandbaby. Happy birthday grandma. I hope you and mom have a big euchre game going on tonight. We've been slowly integrating back into walking this week as the Mr could handle. Last night he was able to do two laps without having to stop to stretch so that is good news. Last year when you got a marble cake with a combo of white and chocolate icing that was my favorite cake ever. Best of both worlds all in one cake! Perfect for an indecisive guy like me, lol.
ReplyDeleteI like all kinds of cake, but my two favorites are German Chocolate and Angel Food. So pretty much polar opposites. My kiddo's favorite is marble cake.
ReplyDeleteChocolate is my preference but die to a long gone childhood tradition, I have a particular fondness for ice cream cake, especially Baskin Robbins mint chocolate chip with fudge icing.
ReplyDeleteI have a few that are all at the top of the list: Lemon Cake, White Cake (boxed...love the spongy texture), with whip cream frosting, and my favorite as a kid that still holds true is Confetti Angel Food Cake with no frosting...just straight up fluffy clouds. LOL
