Whooped Weekend Recap

Happy Monday all!  I hope its not hitting you like that poor kid!

Friday was a bastard capper to a stressful, stupid week.  Some artwork I ordered came in with a big 'ol scratch across the glass and the keyboard the Mr treated himself to was NOT new in box like the a-hole from Ebay said it was.  We both just kind of threw up the white flag.  The Mr started researching some stuff so I watched Clue which is always a good movie to focus on how silly it is.

Saturday we grabbed lunch and then went on a country drive which was nice taking back roads and ending up an hour away and taking the freeway back.

I spotted a very few trees starting to change color and I'm READY for it!

We grabbed some ice cream (courtesy of my bestie) and headed home.  We did get to watch some college ball.  I found a station a few months ago that ran old classic games from last year all the way back to the 90's.  I got what would've been our schedule this year and taped all of those games from the past with corresponding teams so the Mr could have football.  I am actually into it because an almost 4 hour game is now edited down to an hour with no commercials or chit chat in between.  If all of football could be that way forever, I'd totally get back into it.

Sunday was the day that whooped our butts hard.  We had the fall flowers we got a week ago and the temps look like they're leveling off so it was time to plant.  But first, we had to get the old ones out.  Most of the impatiens were fried, the petunias were doing well but needed to come out.  Then we went to get our grocery pickup and right back to it when we returned.  I'm going to give it a week before I take pics because some of them aren't open so it's not very impressive yet.  We did have a visitor though...

(Do you see him?)

When we were done, we were both beat and I was so weak, I could barely grasp a glass to drink.  My legs were on fire and I had to take a bath.  I used the last of my favorite Epsom salt and it smelled heavenly.  It did help for an hour or two before my glutes were like "I. HATE. YOU."  I made a Beyond burger and wedge fries for dinner because we were ravenously hungry.

The rest of the night was spent like the zombie fish from 100 Days Wild because we had no energy to do anything else.  If I am able to walk 50 steps today, I will consider it a victory.

How did your weekend treat you?

  2. It finally stopped raining yesterday
So I got puppers out for a walk. Got my bike down and went for a spin with my little. Grilled up dogs for Mams and friend. Skim coated my drywall patch, very excited to learn this skill!
Scored an awesome chess table free off fb! Got rid of landline plates and painted. Great weekend, have a great week!

  3. That's so aggravating when something is supposed to be new and comes to you clearly used or damaged. That happened to me a couple of months ago from Amazon for a baby gift that I had to return because there was writing all over it! Crazy.

Weekend was good. Got stuff done and got plenty of rest. We were SO happy to have college and pro football to watch again because that's something we really enjoy together and were missing that. I bought a beautiful house number plaque for outside and we put it up this morning and I love it! Our old one was so dark and worn out it was hard to see the numbers. Now this one is in a different spot and the numbers pop. So for $50 it was an excellent buy. Hubs got all the way to work at 5:30am only to be told there was no work so home he went. Sheesh. I hope you have a MUCH better week this week!!
