Ch-Ch-Ch-Changes
source Lord, I hope so. I've made a few changes starting last week. Nothing huge but they're huge to me because it's different than what I've been doing for, well, ever. I grew up on artificial sweeteners. The pink stuff to be exact. Mom always had it around and honestly I didn't really start using it too much until we started on our first go round of weight loss back in 1998. I grew up on a crap ton of sugar. I was addicted to my aunt's sweet tea which, if I remember correctly, was this pitcher: source a scoop of Nestea instant tea and a cup of sugar. When my dad was still around, I remember excitedly making a cup of coffee for him- two creams , two sugars. So my tastebuds were being trained from a young age. I know we had the sweet tea in the house too and my mama was a sweet tea addict until she left this Earth, but I think at some point she switched over to the pink stuff. ReplyDeleteThat is really great news! Maybe this low/no impact regiment is just what you need for now. I know you say it's gluttony season, but I bet you'll show restraint anyway. Good luck pulling of normality and I hope your foot heals enough for you trip.

ReplyDeleteCongratulations! Good idea making the cake healthy but the icing regular - you have a choice to eat none, some or all of the icing but at least you know the cake isn't too bad.
