Good day my peeps! The first days of spring are upon us. For those winter haters, you made it. To the winter lovers like myself, my condolences. It's still been a chaotic week around here. The Mr got our countertop order in for the bathroom where reading the fine print basically states, "we're going to come in and wreck your entire area and we're not responsible for damages." So we will have the bathroom door removed, all doors and drawers on the vanity, maybe even remove the medicine cabinet door again, switch plates off and floor covering. Pictures from the hallway will have to come down for the 10th time. We'll have the countertop off (it already is, it's just sitting on top because the last guys ruined it by breaking off a chunk of wood by forcing it last time) so we're trying to make this as easy as possible. I know there will be touch up paint but I am praying that is the extent of it. This money was already earmarked from Mom's probate so it's not coming out of our money but it's a bittersweet purchase. Everything else has been trying to get stuff built and ready to move outside. We saved 2/3 of what we would've paid for smaller elevated garden beds. Now filling them? Sigh. I've learned a lot over the past weeks and see where I failed on past projects potentially and I'm overwhelmed with how much I have to learn. My scrolling for raised beds similar to ours showed a sad pic of the bottom dropping out of someone's beds which immediately freaked me out. You can bet your butt I had some corner brackets ordered within 5 minutes. I think what we already did with scrap wood was enough but just to be sure. I know the design is simple and ubiquitous if you've been scrolling ads or feeds lately but we're pretty darn proud of them. Now I just have to pray that area gets as much sun as my brain tells me it gets from memory.

Honestly, I have no clue what the plan is for the weekend. I suppose cleaning will have to be part of it to prepare for what I hope will be the last service person in here for a long time.
How about you? Anything shaking on your end?

Yes cleaning is a good idea but also resting since we overworked ourselves the past two weekends. Have a great weekend everyone. I hope it goes slow for a change.
ReplyDeleteMy pulled back thanks you! Not sure how I fix that but yeah. I'm bro-ken.
DeleteI hope you guys have a restful weekend and can recover a bit. The usual over here, so I better get out of bed and get the grocery shopping done before work. We've had crazy weather so hopeful for a calmer weekend.
ReplyDeleteI hope you have better luck finding stuff at the store this weekend! Try not to blow away. It's been gale force winds here for over a week.
