What I'm Reading This Week #35

Howdy do and happy last Friday of August!  I hope you had a good week and if your weather was like ours, it was FINALLY under 93 degrees.  Don't get me wrong, I know sweater weather isn't here but it was nice to not have the AC working overtime (set to 76) starting at 11am every day!   It was nice to not walk out to water the garden and walk into a wall of humidity so I will take what I can get.    Speaking of which: With this 3" San Marzano , I shall be able to make enough sauce to cover 7.3 spaghetti noodles. 😒 Now let's get to: How to Stock Your Pantry for Quick & Easy Meals in Minutes   (Ooh, I need to crockpot some black beans for some sweet potato black bean burritos.) What is the weirdest thing you've ever eaten?

I'd say it has to be chocolate covered squid (ika).  If you're feeling adventurous, you could order some and get that chocolate cuttlefish goodness yourself.  It gets 5 stars and we sent the rest of it home with my friend and no surprise, her grandpa finished it and said it was good.  Perhaps I just have a picky palate!  😆

  1. Yeah the chocolate covered squid is still probably the weirdest thing I have eaten too. I would have otherwise said alligator but I think basically everyone who has ever gone to Florida once has tried that. Tastes like chicken, of course.

  2. The only clear thing that comes to mind besides squid is shark. I know shark isn't exactly an odd thing, but for me it was. My father-in-law made it the first time I met them and to me it was just awful. I remember doing a lot of chewing to pulverize it as much as I could.
