Hide and Seek Weekend Recap

It's Monday again!   source I'll probably be lapsing into cartoon speak because ever since we saw that major companies are purging the cartoons of our youth we've been buying up what we don't already have.  A Scooby Doo , two Looney Tunes and another Sesame Street from our era since the Public Television that's been teaching children for decades has been defunded.  If you listen to nothing else I say, buy physical copies of your favorites and do it quick.  Prices on DVD's are going to skyrocket once these are pulled for good this year and right now you can get many between $12-60 depending on how many episodes are on each bundle or if you get the entire series.  Physical copies means they can't revoke digital rights copies you buy for cheaper when disputes pop up and someone gets their undies in a twist and takes their toys and goes home taking all of the copies you paid for with it. *stepping off of soapbox* Another low key weekend for the most part....

Hump Day Poll: It's the Best

What is a memorable scene from a movie that you love?

It always gives me butterflies when the cars part in Sixteen Candles and there stands Jake Ryan.

I know, I'm a sucker but it takes me back especially with those first few bars of If You Were Here by The Thompson Twins.

How about you?

    1. Heck, I even teared up when we saw it on that John Williams special last week. Modern day Mozart!

  3. Planes Trains and Automobiles when Neal is on the train and memories of Del come to mind with the Power to Believe song playing in the background. There has yet to be a time when I have not cried. The loneliness of the holidays in addition to the actual scenes really jumps out at me.

  4. One of my favorite all time movies is Better Off Dead. Pretty much any scene from that one. My high school best friend and I could quote that movie almost verbatim. I love the newspaper boy "TWO DOLLARS" and the scene where Lane's buddy is telling him "go really fast and if something gets in your way, turn".

    1. When the Mr and I were dating, he would always scream "TWO DOLLARS!" at me and I had no idea what he was talking about until much later! LOL
