Non Scale Victories This Week

During last night's LIIFT 4 Shoulders workout, I saw an improvement over last weeks shoulder presses.  I was unable to do the 2nd and 3rd sets last week overhead after about 3-4 presses.  My left shoulder would literally fall like I'd lost all muscle control with 10 lb weights.  Yesterday I used the same 10 lbs and it wasn't until the 7th rep on the second set that I started to feel bad fatigue but pushed through.  On the third set my shoulders were shot but I was still able to push overhead even if slower.  I pushed to fatigue but didn't have that dangerous muscle drop I had before. The zinnias I grew from seed are mostly in full bloom and I took some pics before cutting some to put in a little vase. 1. We are heading up to my folks' tomorrow. They were here for Christmas, and we'll go up there for New Years' and then the boy will stay a few more days. I always feel like I should get more organzied and then most articles suggest things I'm already doing, and ways to create storage that either I'm already utilizing or just can't do with my house. This article was pretty cool actually and gave me a few new ideas. I especially like the towel shelf built over the door of the bathroom and the idea of having a counter surface over the litter box. My cats won't used a closed in box (I've tried) but I bet I could find a tall table the right size and have another space to pile stuff and keep clean... err I mean use as a work station or addition to my kitchen office.

  2. I don't have any specific plans, which feels good. I was supposed to get my hair cut, but my friend is on medical leave for now. So I plan on puttering around the house and taking care of some stuff to "make room" (i.e. purge the heck out of what I can). I will watch the ND game of course, so that will be a nice break in my day. I'm going to make your Easy Breakfast Casserole on Monday which will be awesome. And New Year's Day will be lots of college football. =o)
