Halfway Through September Weekend Recap

Howdy-eth Do-eth?  Anyone else in the 90's today and the rest of this week?  🤬  It's like summer is getting out its last wrath or something.  Not to say when the calendar flips to 'official' Fall that it will suddenly drop in temps but I did see low 80's on the horizon even though my body is quite ready for 60's, sweatshirts and fuzzy socks.  But I know at least one or two Indian summers or whatever people younger than me in the PC realm call Satan bursts await in October.  I am happy to say I was able to get into the basement Friday and that pic from Friday's post is actually a reality on top!  It still looks like steaming garbage on the floor but I do what I can.   Saturday we decided to drive and find a Town de la Podunk and see what we could get into.  When we arrived at said place, we had a swing and a miss for an old fashioned donut shop.  For the love of God, they are not dinner rolls dunked in DQ chocolate dip cone sauce....

Window Shopping: Holiday Crushes

It's that time of year when I look at Christmas decor that I have zero room for but hey, it's still fun to window shop, right?  Let's get moving.

World Market has these gorgeous Wood Houses In Glass Cloches LED Light Up Decor Set Of 2.


They would look so cute on a mantel at either end or each on a coffee table.  It'd be so nice to have the lights off with the tree and these plugged in giving some cozy ambiance.

Pier 1 has this adorable Hot Cocoa Essentials Latte Mug.


Oh my goodness, hot cocoa would taste so much better in this super cute mug!  Unfortunately, my mug cupboard runneth over.

Sur La Table has this gorgeous Snowy Lane Dishware Set.


I can only imagine how much better a meal tastes on this adorable set.  Actually, I couldn't help getting one plate because cookies just look too cute on it but the set, so cute.  (Don't worry Mr, one should suffice.)

Sur La Table also has these super cute Holiday Sweet Treat Boxes.


Given how many treats I've already made this year, these would be perfect for the treats yet to be made!

Joss & Main has this super cute Holiday Tartan House Christmas Decorative Sculpture.  (Sculpture?!?)


There's apparently an LED light inside that gives off a soft glow.  Le sigh.  Mama's a sucker for plaid and buffalo check (before it became saturated.)

I guess I'll stop now.  You guys know I could go on forever about Christmas!

    Those are all neat. I like them. I could see some of your treats in that treat box and I know I'd be happy to get one!

    I can't say I've seen a lot, mostly because when I've shopped I've zeroed in on what was on my list to get and got out of the stores pronto! LOL But I will say I was at a dentist's office yesterday and one of the trees had "garland" that was silver snowflakes, but looked more like jewelry charms that was really interesting to look at. Never seen anything like it, but the gal said it was from Hobby Lobby. Very cute on a small tree like that.
