What I'm Reading This Week #18

Happy Friday everyone and welcome to May.  We had a long week of getting the garage together so the Mr could finally park in it six weeks later.  We still have some work to do in there as far as purging and such but we needed to get the space useable again since it's been a holding tank for our old countertop/sink, old grill waiting to be picked up by a friend, insulation, built planters and patio table and extra fencing from critter cages.  We haven't had the mental drive to figure out how we get the shelves in order.  I think I'm going to have to look up some garage organizing articles or something because it's really overwhelming to look at it all.  If we can get a plan together to tackle it then maybe we'll have our weekend plans for next weekend as long as it's not hot yet because we don't want to be in a sweatbox. Now let's peek into: Dietitians Agree, Eating More Might Be the Secret to Your Strongest Year Ever   (Volume eating FTW.  It's been ...

What I'm Reading This Week #45

Good Friday mornin' to y'all!

Let's get right to...

7 Overnight Oats That'll Make You Love Breakfast  (For you, Mr)

Scientists Found the Number of Extra Calories You Eat When You Don't Get Enough Sleep  (Hmm, interesting)

6 Cheap Winter Superfoods To Buy Now  (Yum!)

4 Smart Retirement Moves Couples in Their 40s Should Make Now  (Good to know)

5 Smart Ways to Get Your Home Ready for Winter  (It's about that time!)

Oprah Just Released Her Biggest Gift Guide Ever (There’s a $395 Dog Blanket)  (Um yeah because I'm going to let a dog lay on a $400 blanket...nope.)

Watch: The 1975 perform 'Somebody Else’ and 'A Change Of Heart' live for Seth Meyers  (My favorite performance yet because Somebody Else is VERY George (drummer) laden so I can drool properly)

23 Super Helpful Charts To Make Thanksgiving Dinner Less Stressful  (Because we could all use a little less stress come holiday time!)

No real plans for the weekend.  If my legs unlock, I will bake/film.  If not, I might have to wave the white flag on my 12 Days of Treats plan.  Sigh.  Apparently they did not care for my filming taters yesterday even though it felt okay at the time.  At least I had two good days without excessive rolling involved.

What are you guys into this weekend?

  1. I have a timer that I bought for me and mom for holiday meals that has 4 separate timers you can program with a little whiteboard to write the item next to that timer. It's fabulous and fun to use. And, no to the $400 dog blanket. Old Time Pottery for $6 sounds about right for the pooches. =o) I will be looking at your videos next.

Not quite sure on the weekend. Have a meeting in the morning, but not sure if I need to go meet that lady for the furniture or not. If not, then it's next Saturday. I do know I need to get the laundry done and pay some bills before the Thanksgiving week hits and I forget about it. I do hope a much needed nap is in my weekend plans though.... =o)
