Non Scale Victories This Week

During last night's LIIFT 4 Shoulders workout, I saw an improvement over last weeks shoulder presses.  I was unable to do the 2nd and 3rd sets last week overhead after about 3-4 presses.  My left shoulder would literally fall like I'd lost all muscle control with 10 lb weights.  Yesterday I used the same 10 lbs and it wasn't until the 7th rep on the second set that I started to feel bad fatigue but pushed through.  On the third set my shoulders were shot but I was still able to push overhead even if slower.  I pushed to fatigue but didn't have that dangerous muscle drop I had before. The zinnias I grew from seed are mostly in full bloom and I took some pics before cutting some to put in a little vase. Happy 4th of July and what I'm reading this week

I'm sure most of you are skipping today's and sleeping in, grilling out or getting into general holiday tomfoolery.  I'm not mad at ya, I'd do it too if I weren't stuck in my hot box garage painting my damned armoire.

Let's get to...

Enjoy your holiday, the fireworks, the parades, the cookouts, the lounging, the extra day!

  2. The first link was a good one and reminded me that I have that little book by Miguel Ruiz called The Four Agreements--it is excellent!! We took the dogs for a nice walk at the park and watched a lot of people fishing. We heard a bull frog who was talking away and Elsie had her ears up and so wanted to find that little hopper, but we kept her on the path much to her chagrin. Finnegan could have cared less--he just sniffed in all his glory the whole time. Then we went to
Sam's Club and got some amazing deals so that was a good trip stocking up on house supplies. I'll be doing more donation stuff this weekend and the hubs will be helping me throw out the queen bed in the spare room. That will really help give me space to figure out what I'm going to do in there. It needs a paint job, so once that's done, I have some fun ideas... I'll be going on a fruit run later today and am looking forward to making a nice fresh fruit salad. And if I can find my big Uncle Sam's Hat Jello Mold, I'll be making that as well. =o)
