Warm Weather Hygge
By definition, hygge (hooga) according to the Denmark website is about "taking time away from the daily rush to be together with people you care about - or even by yourself - to relax and enjoy life's quieter pleasures." There's a fun little book I read on vacation back in 2018 called The Little Book of Hygge: Danish Secrets to Happy Living and I loved it so much, I bought one as soon as I got back. There was actually nothing more relaxing than reading that little book curled up on the couch in the sunroom with a cup of tea and is one of my favorite memories of that trip. Many tend to associate this practice in the cooler months of Fall and Winter because it tends to focus on the act of being cozy. Have a good day! I'm starting get a little twitchy today, and the regular weekend errands don't count as "getting out".
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the 2 pounds! It's snowing a bit here this morning, but I went our for a walk. I'm SOOO tired of being inside. Damn groundhog!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat job!
ReplyDeleteTwo pounds is two pounds, even if they are, like mine, two that should not have been gained in the first place. ReplyDeleteYay two pounds!
ReplyDeleteIts far from snowing here, its 82 and gorgeous. Too bad I'm inside at work. Made the mistake of going outside for a break and almost cried, it feels like I'm missing one of the best days. That's when I called my hubby and he said he'd come home in time to go walking with me before dinner. (Happy Face)
Congrats on your loss! Light snow here today, but it didn't keep me home! LOL I'm ready for the spring and getting out to walk by the lake more!
