Hump Day Poll: What Takes YOU Back?
In a world that is spiraling down the toilet ever changing, and sometimes not for the better, there are small things we can do to create little pockets of nostalgia from a simpler time. It's harder and harder to find things from your childhood and if you do, often they aren't the same. (I still lament the death of the taste of Chef Boy Ardee boxed pizza mix. Sigh) But for me, there are a few scents that I can rely on that are still out there. When we were dating, one of my favorite scents was that spray musk and I was tickled to still be able to find it! One spritz of it and I'm ready for a night on the town with the teenaged Mr in his Iroc. I was also happy to find Night Magic from Avon is still available and gives me that same feeling. My friend got it for me last year and with as much as I use it (rarely to never), I'll have it until I'm dust. (I did find the solid perfume compact in a bin and still have it if I want to be truly...
It was a loooong week but as evidenced by your pics above we ate extremely wonderful meals. But then again I say that all the time, because it's true!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to find out what my big surprise is!
Yummy!!! Can I borrow you for a few days;)
ReplyDeleteCoupons rule!!!! You deserve it. Have fun!
ReplyDeleteOh man that looks good. I'm proud of you for getting so much fish throughout the week. That's one area where I fail, even though I love fish.
ReplyDeleteAw, why didn't I get a coupon in the mail?! Sigh. I am probably headed to Sur La Table tomorrow too. We should compare hauls! :)
ReplyDeleteThat is a nice coupon! I look for those all the time online. I never buy anything online anymore without searching one out. I used to get Sur La Table's catalog and bought a few copper items back in the day.
ReplyDeleteWell, my weekend plans just changed as I got a short email from my mother stating that Easter Brunch was cancelled at my uncle's assisted living place due to a flu bug going around. So now I need to rearrange some things, so I honestly don't know what my weekend plans are! =o)
No plans for the weekend. I just got home from a visit with my folks. The little guy is staying for some extra grandparent time and they will run him home on Sunday. All I know for my weekend is it will involve no children's tv, and sleeping in both days which is a rare luxury.
