You Won't Bee-lieve What Worked for Me
source You know how women older than you would always say "just you wait" referring to menopause? (Heck, perimenopause wasn't even discussed or considered real 20+ years ago!) "Wait for what?" you wondered. Eluding that it was so much more than hot flashes but never telling you what that was. Well I'm here to warn you up and comers what one of those things is...pit stank. That's a big one they don't warn you about with fluctuating hormones in your 30's-50's depending on when perimenopause hits you. They don't tell you how your tried and true deodorant will fail you within hours if you're lucky and will need to be reapplied. Don't even bother with the clinical versions that used to work for you because the hormonal hellscape that has become your body now laughs at them. Natural deodorants you used to use on light loafing around the house days? source Because you still want people in your household to want to sit near y...
I'm with you and Grover that we can complete all the normal stuff in fewer work days. The wrong people are in charge! Have a great weekend everyone!
ReplyDeleteWhat Grover says goes!!
DeleteMy weekend is the usual this week with work, house stuff, and church. I think it's safe to say the show is finally done for the season so I'll be taking off the chair covers on the deck so we can enjoy a bit of relaxation out there.
ReplyDeleteHave a fantastic weekend!!
That would be wonderful if you could enjoy your outdoor space finally!!
DeleteCount me in on the 3 day work week. By Friday I have surpassed the level of stupid any human being can take without drinking heavily! Some really good reads this week. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDelete😂😆 I hear ya!! You're very welcome!
DeleteI'm about a year behind you age-wise and also always worried about blood clots. A perfect storm of things made me think it wasn't anything like that, but then I could hardly catch my breath walking just a few steps down the hall. It turns out I had several pulmonary embolisms. I'm not trying to make you overthink every symptom in the article, but the complete breathlessness and high heart rate (when lying/sitting down)were what sent me to the ER. I'm very overweight but exercise regularly and I think that's what helped me survive them honestly. They're still hanging out in there but I'm on blood thinners now and have both a hematologist and cardiologist who will keep monitoring me. They were likely caused by a genetic condition it looks like. Hopefully they will dissolve on their own because I don't want surgery. My breathing and heart rate are back to normal but I still deal with an achy chest. Just wanted to give you my experience!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! I'm so glad you're okay! The thinners can do a lot. If you have a vein center close to you, you may want to check with them. The people who did the Mr's veins (and soon mine) said they remove dvt's all of the time. Not sure if the same applies to PE's or not but it's outpatient.
DeleteMy mom was susceptible to them and the article made me think of her and how many people don't know the symptoms. Thanks so much for sharing your story!
