What I'm Reading This Week #15
We made it to the weekend! Can I get a hell yeah, Stone Cold Steve Austin style? source We're fast approaching mid month and for those who celebrate Easter, make sure you've got your game plan together and are shopping the sales! We lucked out with some Honeybaked Ham rewards somehow and I placed my order months ago and we'll have that for $9. I always pick up stuff on sale as the year goes on so I don't need a bunch of ingredients at once. We saw Stowe got another dump of snow just as we were lamenting it fading away two days earlier. I know. Don't nobody here wanna see dat but it still warms the cockles of our otherwise charcoal hearts. It makes me want to watch our little slideshow from Christmas again. It is a shame that having a carved pumpkin is not what it used to be. I think it's just our neighborhood that seems to lack the Halloween spirit but I actually don't see as many pumpkin carvings in general. So yeah, no pumpkin here.
ReplyDeleteMine were getting chewed on by critters so I stopped carving and putting out. I find Halloween sad as I get few trick or treaters and feels like a waste of my time. It also makes me reminiscent of simpler times which can drag me down.
ReplyDeleteWe used to put out carved pumpkins and the plastic ones with the lights built in, but haven't for several years. We'll usually buy either one big pumpkin or some little pie-sized ones for our little stoop. Not sure if we will these year with everything going up in price, but I do have a Halloween flag and mat out front as of now.
