What Day Is It Weekend Recap
Sup Monday and what's up with y'all? The time for weekend shenaniganry is through and time to bid adieu to March. I can't believe we're just over a quarter through the year, though it's been quite productive. I got a sweet sale on some spray paint to repaint the skinny and bigger patio tables. I'd already painted the skinny one with flat high heat paint but discovered a pretty bad split on the leg. I haven't the power, time or money to search for a new one so I got the bondo out and filled in the hole to keep it from getting worse and once it was cured spray painted it in satin Canyon Black and it looks so much better. I spray painted all of the hooks and planter holders I took down as well and that took care of a can. We also got the mammoth planters moved out to the patio. Definitely an eye opener how tight it's going to be out there. I miscalculated on the smaller one and we'll need to uninstall and move the folding table we mad...
Happy Memorial Day!! I have a few things I really like on the grill. One is pork chops and I'll make fresh pico de gallo to put on top -- the coldness of that on the meat is so good. I like corn on the cob too. One of my favorite things to make (which reminds me I haven't done it in a long time) is a cheesy bread with an Italian loaf that you cut slices almost down to the end and insert a concoction of whipped butter, parsley, mozzarella and a few other ingredients in between each slice. Then wrap the whole thing in foil and heat on the grill for about 30 minutes. It is SO good. And it's surprisingly light and not greasy at all. I think because the heat kind of takes some of the moisture out of the bread it just gives it good texture.
