Belated Weekend Recap
Hola peeps and happy Tuesday. Anyone else get engulfed by the wildfire smoke over the weekend? Three days straight for us with lots of air quality alerts. I hope my Canadian friends are doing okay. It was a bit of a lazy weekend to start until it wasn't. (Thanks to me, I'm sure the Mr is mumbling under his breath.). I have been throwing myself into projects this month to keep myself from spiraling over Mom's birthday this week. Not to mention constantly fighting every aspect of gardening and I swear I typed that sentence before that last time I tried in 2020. I have fungus gnats in the elevated planters because of all of the damn rain we've been getting and the soil can't dry out for them to die off. So I got some mosquito dunks that can be cut into 1/8's and put into a gallon of water overnight and then water the area to kill the larvae then dry the soil to kill the adults. This is apparently common with organic gardening but frustrating...
I am so there for the metabolic testing. Just say where and when!
ReplyDeleteI would like to have ANYTHING that looks like Minka Kelly. She is gorgeous--I was a big Friday Night Lights fan.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the reading list! I'll read them asap.
ReplyDeleteI found something interesting in the grocery store yesterday, that I hadn't seen before. We had given up on salt substitutes as they taste horrible, but when I saw a brand called Diamond Crystal that is real salt but with 33% less sodium, I had to try it. My hubby says he can still taste the bitter aftertaste (they add stuff to it, including the potassium that makes most salt substitutes bitter), but he was tasting the salt alone. I tried it on my eggs this morning and it was fine. Maybe not for margaritas, but fine with food, lol.
Wow, love the ab routine! So simple...going to go do some right now.
DeleteI'd really like that metabolic testing. I can't seem to figure out why I am busting my arse and not losing. In the past month I am down only like 1.5 pounds. I have been eating so well and drinking boatloads of water and doing my workouts, even going to bed earlier (that's always been hard for me because the evening is the only free time I ever get and I like to stay up) and every day my weight is between 188 and 189. Sometimes I wonder if I exercise too much, but then that week I didn't workout a lot my weight stayed the same. I seem to gain weight instantly if I just barely eat over my calories. I read where a person who was overweight, even when they get to their goal weight, will always have to eat less just to maintain that weight. It's kind of disheartening. I eat around 1600 calories most days and at night my stomach is growling. I don't know how I can eat much less and work out as much as I do without feeling awful.
ReplyDeleteThat metabolic testing sounds interesting. Let us know what you find out.
