Hump Day Poll: Newsworthy?
source If that brings you warm fuzzies, you're welcome. If you don't know what the heck that's referring to, then you might be too young to understand most of my references here and should probably brush up ! We are going on year 9 of not having watched the news. I remember the last time we went to Kauai in 2016 (holy crap, that makes me want to cry) we didn't watch the news once and couldn't believe how much happier we were. We decided to see how long we could push it and here we are almost a decade later. It's enough to be inundated on internet sites on the hourly with the latest dumpster fire lit that should have nothing to do with the kind of stuff it's reporting but to voluntarily watch the news just is not something I have in me. I rarely watch live tv because of the commercials (well more commercials) but I left it on once a few years ago when a show I was watching went live and the news came on right after. I wasn't watchin...
Woo hoo! Finally a loss following a larger loss. You may be on to something here...
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your road trip. I will be sitting at my computer working for most of the weekend.
:(
Hurray for a loss--ANY loss after a bigger one is good! Have fun on your road trip; we are watching our grandson (3 years old), so we will be having our own fun time. Love doing that!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on that 1 pound!! Every single one counts. And enjoy your road trip! =o)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your trip. Enjoy your soreness too, I know that always makes me a little hopeful as well.
ReplyDeleteI don't mind being a tad sore, just enough so that I know I worked out, but I do everything I can to avoid pain. If I hurt too much after a workout I know I didn't have proper form or I didn't stretch enough. Or both. :)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your recovery trip!
Soreness makes me hopeful too. Is it sad, that pain makes us think happy thoughts? I'm home cleaning and watching happy movies like X-men (mmmm Hugh Jackman) and Indiana Jones (mmmmm young-ish Harrison Ford) maybe Star Trek later (the new one)...then some more torture so that maybe, if I'm lucky I'll lose during that one week each month that always manages to set me back a pound or two. Have fun on your trip, hope it is fun, fun, fun.
ReplyDeleteWHOO HOO! It's those pounds at a time that add up to big victories over time. Sometimes, for me, it's the little changes that mean the most.
