Hobbly Weekend Recap
Hello Monday. The start of a new week is upon us. source The Mr's back was not happy and getting worse Friday so he had to break down and go to the chiropractor. He said it's the ligament that runs over his SI joint and it's inflamed. He told him to use ice over heat, cold lasered him and yanked his bum leg. He's been using the shoulder migraine ice pack I got him for Christmas on his lower back held in place by the back brace belt from the last SI joint flare up. He couldn't really do a whole lot so we shared a blood supply with the couch most of the day Saturday. We finally decided to go poke around the garden center just to get out of the house and get some movement. OMG, the prices!!! Flats are 12 plants less than they used to be for $3 more or $6 more if you want the old amount. Plants are $5 a pop for a tomato or basil plant. I'm REALLY hoping I properly harden off my seedlings because I can't af...
Sounds just like some of my post :)
ReplyDeleteOh Sweetie--that just sufcks. But at least it wasn't a gain. You're doing so great, I relaly don't understand why the pounds don't fall off more quickly. I think sometimes our bodies hae a set weight and they want to stay there. Maybe your's is where you are now? I got down to 139 right before Halloween, then during the holidays and winter I put on about 10 pounds. At this point I would be happy at 145. My body likes me right about 150 evidently, and I work very hard just to stay there. I had surgery 10 days ago, didn't eat anything for two days basically, then ate really lightly the rest of the week, and lost like maybe 2 pounds, which are now back. This morning I weighed 149.4. So back to that "happy" 150.

ReplyDeleteThank goodness it isn't a gain, but I know how frustrating that is. All that hard work, and nothing to "show" for it. *hugs*
It might not show on the scale but you are fighting cancer, stroke, high blood pressure, heart disease, etc. You are working to stay healthy and that is awesome!

ReplyDeleteI agree with K. The scale is not showing the changes in your underlying health and it doesn't show that you are doing what is right for your metabolism so that it isn't jacked up for the rest of your life. It doesn't make the current situation any less frustrating, but it'll change, it'll move down again. Hugs and this is going to be an AWESOME week no matter what the grumpy scale says.
