What I'm Reading This Week #21

Happy Friday all!  I am beyond thrilled to not having to babysit seedlings indoors anymore.  I know I need to babysit them outside now but I am going to have to do some serious research on how to stop algae and white mold because I feel like I tried all of the tricks and nothing helped.  I can't wait for them to actually bloom.  Well, my cantaloupe have flowers on them.  I guess I'll have to get some knee high panty hose to hang them from on the trellis.  I'll be keeping my eye on those bucket crops because I know it won't be long before critters try to come after them and when they do, I have insect nets waiting for them.  HISS!  So we'll see how phase two goes. Now let's phase into: 5 Best Compound Exercises to Strengthen Your Whole Body   (Get twice as much done in half the time!) 10 Anti-Inflammatory Foods You Should Be Eating, According to Registered Dietitians   (I wish I liked avocados, maybe if I made a sassy guac/salsa combo w...

What I'm Reading This Week #18

Happy Friday everyone and welcome to May.  We had a long week of getting the garage together so the Mr could finally park in it six weeks later.  We still have some work to do in there as far as purging and such but we needed to get the space useable again since it's been a holding tank for our old countertop/sink, old grill waiting to be picked up by a friend, insulation, built planters and patio table and extra fencing from critter cages.  We haven't had the mental drive to figure out how we get the shelves in order.  I think I'm going to have to look up some garage organizing articles or something because it's really overwhelming to look at it all.  If we can get a plan together to tackle it then maybe we'll have our weekend plans for next weekend as long as it's not hot yet because we don't want to be in a sweatbox.

Now let's peek into:

Dietitians Agree, Eating More Might Be the Secret to Your Strongest Year Ever  (Volume eating FTW.  It's been a big help meal prepping here and there.)

8 Fruits That Will Help You Sleep Better (I need all the help I can get!)

Seven Ways Gaining Muscle Can Benefit Your Health  (Twice I've practically fallen just standing still, I think it's time to get serious.)

Why You Need to Clean Your Gardening Tools—and How to Do It Right (Good to know so you don't cross contaminate especially with pruners.)

The 1 Thing Therapists Say Harms Your Happiness The Most  (It's true but so hard to get past.)

How Old Cardboard Boxes Can Help Your Garden  (I've been saving back non-inked boxes for this reason.  Our side bed is a hot mess.)

Does De-Extinction Actually Work?  (I'm fairly certain in about 20 years, the Mr will be hauling ass with me in the back seat saying "must go faster.")

27 Of The Most Fascinating, Sad, And Interesting Celebrity Graves  (We're total grave tourists.  I love paying my respects to people who have entertained us.  We've visited Billie Burke (the real Glinda), John Belushi, John Hughes, and would love to get out to Hollywood cemeteries some day.)

We are taking a full on break for a few days.  The past few months have been so horrible on so many levels and we're waving the white flag.  We need to reconnect and focus on us.  No projects.  No to do lists.  Nuffin.  So despite what my head tells me on many levels, I am going to try to force myself to relax.  It sounds easy but I assure you for someone like me, it's not.  So wish us luck!

What are you up to this weekend?
