Hump Day Poll: Who Is Lookin' at Yours

Let's talk hoo-ha's.  Vaginas.  Bearded clam.  Etc.  (Or prostates, teabags, twig and berries.) My first gynecologist was a dude.  An old dude.  My mom's gynie because obviously when I went to her telling her some cad (the Mr) and I were thinking of doing the deed, she wanted me on the pill.  I got in within a week which is unheard of these days.  I walked in and waited in my paper gown until the first man to see the secret garden bounded in.   Do you remember Larry "Bud" Melman from early Letterman?  Let me refresh your memory: source Needless to say, after two years of visits with him, I came to the conclusion this man who told me PMS was "in my head" at 18 that I was not going to have someone looking at my parts that did own the same ones.  I switched to a lady doctor with another name and began mouth leaking about how he didn't listen to me so I had to switch to a woman.  She laughed and said "I know exactly what you ...

Hump Day Poll: Anyone Else...

Howdy y'all, I've gotta question for you.

Anyone out there wear barefoot shoes?  Specifically, I have the Lems 3 which is supposed to be the widest, I think.  Before I invested in those, I got these which are still good but much less expensive for workouts downstairs.

I'm fine for workouts since it's on a cushioned floor but the hour long 2 1/2 mile walks on sidewalks and asphalt the past two weeks have been doing me in.  If I thought my foot pain was bad before, welcome to the seventh circle of hell.  I'll be your hostess.

I wasn't sure if anyone out there has transitioned to zero drop barefoot shoes or not and if so, did they also feel like a railroad spike was being hammered in with each step.  If so, when does that end?

I'm sure I won't get any responses on this one but figured it couldn't hurt to ask.

  1. Wish I had an answer but you know I don't wear them. I do hope you find out more though. I wonder if you might need to immerse in them for a while as in wear them all day around the house too but I don't want to steer you wrong either.

  2. I don't wear them because I can't. My feet need to be in shoes or slippers at all times because I need the arch support to help my knees and hips stay in alignment, and because I have neuropathy so I can't feel the balls of my feet or toes. So I'm of no help on this one. Are there any forums that talk about the foot pain you're experiencing with these shoes? I'm thinking like on Runner's World or something like that?
