What I'm Reading This Week #13

Friday is finally here!  Can I get a woot woot?!  (Cheers to those who actually did it.)  The week felt long to start but then before we knew it...blam!  Friday.  We had the countertop dude out to measure and template Tuesday.  The lady who made the appointment said it would be 2-3 weeks after so I'm hoping for sooner than later so I can FINALLY reveal the bathroom to you guys!  Kind of stinks though because we were told they would take the sink/faucet with them and that was a big fat no.  We were looking forward to getting that big azz box out of the house.  Soon enough I guess.   You may have noticed a little zhuzh to the site (probably more for those on laptops) but I figured it was time and I think they retired my previous theme anyway.  So it's a little minimalistic but there wasn't a ton to choose from on the free side so I took what I could get.  Enjoy. 😄 I sat down and did a spreadsheet of my seeds, when they were...

Hump Day Poll: Well, That Was a Mistake




What's the worst hairstyle/cut you've ever had?

With growing up in the 80's/90's, most people would assume the big hair I rocked as a teenager would be the worst but I'd wear that again in a second.  My worst style was my Olivia Newton John cut.  It was a few years past her Physical phase but she was still sportin' that short hair but like slightly tapered against the neck like on the cover of this album.  That looks great on a skinny Aussie, it looks tragic on a 5th grader going through her awkward phase looking like she's storing nuts for the winter.

So what about you...What's the worst hairstyle/cut you've ever had?

    I wish I could say I only had 1 bad, too-short haircut in the 80s but I somehow replicated that in the early 200s as well - duh!

    I've been keeping it basically the same for years now, a little too long in 2017 and during the pandemic but mainly mid-length, whatever my wavy hair wants to do. As long as it's clean, I live with it and expect everyone else to do so as well.

    I had a bowl cut that had kind of gotten a bit too overgrown which made it even worse but fit right in in the 80's - especially after I put sun-in all over my head. Paired nicely with my white sportcoat and Jams. Still to this day it's one of those pictures I look back on and cringe but oh well.

    You had that haircut too? I was in 3rd grade and everyone thought I was a boy. It was the worst! Then in the 90's I tried short hair again after seeing Jenna Elfman, from Dharma and Greg, look cute and adorable with the short cut. It was tragic and from the back I looked like a boy again.

    Oy, there's been a few, especially as a kid. The worst probably being the Dorothy Hamil haircut that in theory would look pretty, but on me it looked like a page boy haircut and I was too tall and gangly to pull it off. Also the at-home perm my mom gave me int the 7th grade. I looked like I could have been on Shaft.

    I had an at home perm in like 5th grade. It was awful. My mom did the perm itself well, but it was horrible on me.
