Warm Weather Hygge
By definition, hygge (hooga) according to the Denmark website is about "taking time away from the daily rush to be together with people you care about - or even by yourself - to relax and enjoy life's quieter pleasures." There's a fun little book I read on vacation back in 2018 called The Little Book of Hygge: Danish Secrets to Happy Living and I loved it so much, I bought one as soon as I got back. There was actually nothing more relaxing than reading that little book curled up on the couch in the sunroom with a cup of tea and is one of my favorite memories of that trip. Bonfires done, apple orchard visit done. Spookhouse this weekend then time to hunker down for old man winter. Can you send me your email address please? I want to send you my hardwood floor make over pictures. Have a great day
ReplyDeleteI'm not able to do some of the things I thought I'd get to this fall, but I'm at peace with it now. The one thing I want to do is go the apple orchard, which I plan on doing Monday. It'll only be 50 degrees, which will be lovely to enjoy a hot chocolate after I do some perusing and shopping. They have an indoor cellar with food and hot chocolate/coffee, but I think I want to sit out on the picnic tables so I can look out at the pumpkin patch and the entire area that's all country. I have my new chiminea that the hubs gave me for our anniversary, but I don't know that I'll set that up outside or not this year because it went from warm to windy and pretty cold very quickly. Still have to think about that. The annoying thing we have right now is when it does get warm and sunny, the wasps are out in full force and my poor girl got stung on the paw over the weekend. Little jerks.
