Non Scale Victories This Week

During last night's LIIFT 4 Shoulders workout, I saw an improvement over last weeks shoulder presses.  I was unable to do the 2nd and 3rd sets last week overhead after about 3-4 presses.  My left shoulder would literally fall like I'd lost all muscle control with 10 lb weights.  Yesterday I used the same 10 lbs and it wasn't until the 7th rep on the second set that I started to feel bad fatigue but pushed through.  On the third set my shoulders were shot but I was still able to push overhead even if slower.  I pushed to fatigue but didn't have that dangerous muscle drop I had before. The zinnias I grew from seed are mostly in full bloom and I took some pics before cutting some to put in a little vase. Happy Valentine's Day! (and What I'm Reading This Week)

Let's skip straight to the good stuff!

Since the Mr proofread this, I won't be divulging how I plan to celebrate with him but sometimes it's nice to indulge in the holiday.  It takes more effort to hold a grudge against it than to print out a free Valentine and remind them that you love them.  Or stand nekkid in front of them wearing a saran wrap bathing suit.  Oops, I guess I ruined the surprise.

Any weekend plans?  Celebrating the "holiday?"

  3. You have your caboodle, I have my scratch and sniff stickers. I have a sort of memory box that I keep and only stumble across every couple years when re-organizing. It's got scratch and sniff, Duran Duran buttons, and a few other things from my teen years that I didn't want to throw out when I packed up to leave home. I just tripped over it this week and am holding out on reviewing the contents, using it as a reward for when I unpack a few more boxes.

  4. Happy Valentine's Day! The hubs and I just exchanged gifts and plan a nice casual evening at home. We don't go out on this holiday because it's too crowded and the restaurants have such limited menus. So we are going next weekend to a place we haven't tried, but others have raved about to me. He'll be getting the "Steak Sinatra" and Lobster and I'll be perusing to see what I'm going to get. Looking really forward to that next weekend! This weekend will be paying bills, gathering up tax info so I can do those at the end of the month, and house cleaning. I want to get as much taken care of this weekend so next weekend I'll be free as a bird. =o)
