What I'm Reading This Week #18

Happy Friday everyone and welcome to May.  We had a long week of getting the garage together so the Mr could finally park in it six weeks later.  We still have some work to do in there as far as purging and such but we needed to get the space useable again since it's been a holding tank for our old countertop/sink, old grill waiting to be picked up by a friend, insulation, built planters and patio table and extra fencing from critter cages.  We haven't had the mental drive to figure out how we get the shelves in order.  I think I'm going to have to look up some garage organizing articles or something because it's really overwhelming to look at it all.  If we can get a plan together to tackle it then maybe we'll have our weekend plans for next weekend as long as it's not hot yet because we don't want to be in a sweatbox. Now let's peek into: Dietitians Agree, Eating More Might Be the Secret to Your Strongest Year Ever   (Volume eating FTW.  It's been ...

What I'm Reading This Week #4

It's Aloha Friday...no work til Monday!  (Man, do I miss hearing that song on the regular.  Pardon while I sing along for a second.)  Okay, now that I'm officially teary and missing the islands.  We've gotten really lucky on our park walks lately and saw little packs of deer here and there.  It's always so cute how they look up and stop- we look over and stop- they go back to eating and we take a few steps on our route and repeat with deer in headlights game.  I named this little weak one we saw after my grandma and told her it would make her strong and to go find a pack to take care of her.  I think I saw her in the pack of seven we saw on Monday.  She is wee but appeared stronger to me.  I hope that was her and that grandma is looking out for her.

In the overnight going into Monday, we caught a coyote roaming our yard at 1am.  I wanted to go out and ask him if he was a super genius.

Goodbye LMP  šŸ’”

I'm not sure if we have plans this weekend or not.  Nothing I know of but that could change, I suppose.  I wouldn't mind getting a real batch of snow so we could go real snowshoeing and not splash around in slop pretending to be snow.

What's on your forecast this weekend?

  1. I have no plans yet either but it would be nice to have some so that we don't spend too much time scrambling to figure something out. I do agree it would be nice to get real snow and not the slop we had. Have a great weekend everyone!

    1. I'm going stir crazy here but now that the bedroom rears its head again I guess we'll have to keep anything local since I've got to keep my waxing arm strong. *hiss*

  2. We just have our usual errands to run, I have a meeting tomorrow, then church on Sunday. We'll be watching the playoff games as well, but the hubs works on Sunday so he'll miss one of them. Today's high will be 35 with a little snow, but tomorrow's high is only 21 with more snow predicted with 30mph winds so anything that does come down will be dry and blowing. Let's see if being inside all day motivates me to actually work on one simple project I've been putting off. lol Have a great weekend with whatever hi-jinks you guys decide to get into!

    1. Enjoy the playoffs! Ugh 21 and strong winds means cozy time inside because nobody wants to be out in that!
