What I'm Reading This Week #19

Hello hello, mah peeps!  I hope you had a good week.  A quick birthday shout out to my FIL.  I'm sure he's whipping up quite a party up there and DJing like he used to back in the day.   It's very hard to not think that today was supposed to be our first full day walking Ogunquit Beach in Maine after finding a place we could finally afford there.   I'm also failing at knowing we should still be gone for another week. and we're especially bitter given what a complete disaster our attempt at a smaller getaway was when we stayed at the worst place we've ever rented a few days ago.  When I say there was nowhere comfortable to sit/sleep, I mean NOWHERE.  The Mr is crippled and we spent our anniversary hoping he didn't end up on a telehealth call for strong pain meds.  I had borderline migraines daily and by the end was also limping with my SI joint joining the hobble party.  It rained torrentially every single day which we're fine with n...

Idol hands and what I'm reading this week

It's been a pretty good week.  As usual, I'm glad it's Friday and the weekend is at hand.  We've got eye doc appointments this morning.  Hooray?

I've been listening to the Christmas Music Choice channel and I'm sure the Mr will begin developing a twitch and soon.  Actually, I think it's time to break out Billy Idol's Christmas album.  Good luck finding it though, it was a limited edition.  Yes, for those who don't know, he released a Christmas album in 2006 and it's quite awesome.  My vinyl loving music fiend friend says it's an abomination.  I say seeing him sing White Christmas over White Wedding in a jazzy style makes me want to dry hump him holiday style.

But enough about my odd musical proclivities, let's get to...

We're going to a Christmas light display this weekend.  I need to get in the holiday spirit and this usually helps.  We were planning on paddling early in the day but it looks like it's not even going to hit 50 so that's probably out.

What are you guys up to this weekend?

  1. It is finally Friday! Not a bad week though. Quiet enough at work that I could breathe for a change. Now I've got some great links to go thru. Have a great weekend everyone!

  2. I'm heading out to the 'burbs again to meet up with a couple of friends for lunch. It's been a long week of running around and taking care of some time-crunch things, so I'm looking forward to a day to just chill out. Still need to get chores done around the house and do some Thanksgiving shopping as well. Other than that, it's just watching some football and getting the pooches some good exercise. The hubs has been taking them out for long walks and they are loving it in this weather.
