What I'm Reading This Week #25
Hello and happy Friday from the land of the scorching sun. We are in for absolute Hades conditions the next few days, right on cue for the summer solstice. You know I'm not happy about that. 😒 Thankfully, my other 50% shade cloth just arrived and is airing out so they can go on in the afternoons. I have stuff in the big planters that are not fans of scorching heat so I need to be as on it as possible if I don't want it to go to poop for other reasons to add to the current reasons. (Rain, pests, etc)
I'm tryin' y'all! I just got my little lint rollers to roll aphids/larvae off instead of wasting shipping tape. I swear to you I have not seen ONE BEE since everything went in. There was this chubby bumble bee that would hang out when our lilac was in bloom and just zone out levitating so I thought for sure she would be here for it all. Nope. The second it bloomed, it was gone. I haven't seen honeybees at all. I've checked with a few gardening IGers and they all confirm little to no pollinators in their area either. 😔
Next step...apiary. The neighbor would blow a gasket on that one. Hmm, I think I just talked myself into it! 😂
It's been a productive week on the exercise front. Floor bike every day to count toward NEAT for at least 450-500 calories or 3800-5800 steps depending on if I was listening to music or not). I've been doing PT of some sort for all of my ailments from weak feet to weak ankles to dead butt.

Miss a post this week? Catch up below:
We're invited to a grad party tomorrow but I honestly don't know if 95 degrees and the Mr having no immune system coming off antibiotics is something either of us can handle right now since it's smack in the middle of the day. I've already sent the card so she's got her moolah which is probably all kids care about now. We'll see as the day unfolds. We don't have any plans other than trying not to die in the heat.
Oh yeah and the cabin we stayed at for Christmas last year just came on the market, so I'm going to go sob in a corner trying to figure out how to get a mere $11,500/mo to get it.
What are your plans for the weekend?
