What I'm Reading This Week #20
Howdy do punkin' poos? I hope you had a delightful week of blissful productivity at work (aka hanging on by the frays of your well bitten fingernails whilst saying you need to win the lottery but never actually playing.) A birthday shout out to my grandma. You know, even though she would've been 86, and I know the probability is she would be gone now, it still doesn't stop me wondering how long she would've made it if dementia hadn't reared up. I could really use one of her hugs or her hands cupping my face with that ornery little grin saying I was her first grandbaby. Happy birthday grandma. I hope you and mom have a big euchre game going on tonight. We've been slowly integrating back into walking this week as the Mr could handle. Last night he was able to do two laps without having to stop to stretch so that is good news. Just a quick water rinse
ReplyDeleteI try to get the organic green lettuce for my salad and always wash it really well, with at least 2 good rinses and soaks, in the salad spinner. Even some of the pre-washed lettuce I will put an extra rinse on myself because I don't trust machines to do that properly.
ReplyDeleteRegular produce with a water rinse. I'm a loner Dottie, a rebel.
ReplyDeleteGenerally, I'm too cheap to buy organic. So many of my fruits and veggies need to be imported and by the time you put on the premium for organic (if it is available) I can't justify the expense. And when it comes to washing, I'm a run it under the water and hope for the best kind of girl. A little dirt can do you good. :)
ReplyDeleteIt depends on the fruit if I buy organic or not. I rinse everything anyway... but then wonder what's in the water. LOL
