What I'm Reading This Week #32
Howdy do y'all and how's it hanging this week? It feels weird to not have had people traipsing in and out of the house all week. I'll take it though. We haven't had any storms yet, of course so no sigh of relief just yet but fingers crossed. What I can happily update is in using the moisture meter against the wall yesterday, is the off the chart over 99 number we got before that set off alarms? It's now down to 24 and technically considered dry but those baseboards aren't going back up until we've had some storms. I can't tell you how relieving it is to have that meter so we know the moisture is going down in a place we couldn't see unless we cut out a huge piece of drywall. Tuesday I did some zinnia pruning as that task got ignored for two weeks because of the aforementioned traipsers (new word). It'll be interesting to see if rando zinnias start popping up due to the petals that have seeds attached falling off. I was working besid...
Huh?...goes and looks in the fridge. Wow! Good job! :-)
ReplyDeleteThat looks really neat! I used wasabi tape to divide out portions of my white-board in my classroom. I made a helmet parking area in the basment with 6 large hooks. It really surprised me how much difference just having the bike/ski helmets put up out of the way made.
ReplyDeleteMy appliances are getting to that point too. All of them are well over 20 years old so I know I'm already pushing my luck, but I also know that I'll be lucky if their replacements last half as long so I'm not in any hurry.
What a cute idea! I've never used washi tape, but this is brilliant. Both of our fridges need to either be fixed or replaced. The inside one the freezer does not keep anything cold period, so that is now empty and all freezer stuff has been moved to the garage one, which is ancient and needs to be replaced sooner rather than later. And the timing unit on my dryer doesn't work so the dryer does not shut off so I've "cooked" many a clothing item when I forget to watch the clock. lol
ReplyDeleteThat a a great idea! My favorite home fixes were putting in a motion light in the laundry room so I have light when carrying the basket in and affixing my area rugs with velcro to the wood floors after straightening the hall rug 10 times a day for 20 years after puppy ran through
