What I'm Reading This Week #34
Hello you sassy beast! Ready for another flip flappin' fantastic weekend? Yes indeedy, Ally Sheedy. It's been a week of working ahead for me as I try to work on ideas for holiday posts. I know, no one is ready for Christmas but spit balling stuff is actually getting me excited for the season. I like to try to give myself the month of December off from writing new posts (except updating weekly happenings) so all I have to do is respond if needed. It lets me take a little mental break during the holidays to try to enjoy what I can then hop back into the new year hopefully rested and ready to roll. We did book our 30th anniversary trip, which is the same one we had to cancel this year and of course got travel insurance. It's just nice to have something to hopefully look forward to and it makes you go "where the heck did 4 1/2 years go?" because it seems like just yesterday we were celebrating our 25th. Do people even celebrate their 30t...
I have to say this week went by kind of fast for me. Usually they drag on when the week starts with a day off/holiday. Probably just jinxed myself since it is early yet on a Friday. Have a great weekend people!
ReplyDeleteI'm not a fan of their last 2 bathroom suggestions either. All the other stuff is already something I do. Towels dry faster spread on a bar than bunched on a single hook and my bathroom is way too tiny to give up even the small amount of storage the medicine cabinet gives. I'm having the bathroom re-done soon (I've been saying for 2 years, so "soon" is relative) and the bars and cabinet will be upgraded but replaced for sure.
ReplyDeleteI've done the bathroom, 2 halls closets, living room, and a small portion of the kitchen. I have 2 decent size donate boxes almost full and have taken out a couple trash bags already. I don't know where this stuff comes from.
At my folks for a few days, kiddo has dr appts and we are going to the water park later today, then home to boring-ness and hiding from the 100+ heat.
It's been a busy day so the weekend won't be too bad on that front -- hopefully. I'll just have a bit of laundry and bill paying to do, and then work the weekend. I did some research yesterday on tree removal companies so I may actually send out inquiries to two places tomorrow. The order of things would be tree removal, get a shed, new deck (which probably won't happen this year but at least the yard would be ready for it). And somewhere in there buy the fridges. But I need to get the skinny table in the kitchen first, which I have on Amazon -- just have to move it to the cart after months of debating. LOL
ReplyDeleteI hope you guys have a good weekend and can have some genuine "chill" time -- if you know what I mean. =o)
